    • DB/DSIL and DBIL/DSIL all coming over. Hope they all leave before 7p. I still have to work tomorrow.

    Happy Independence Day BBB Friends.
    • Had a nice lunch with my Codger friends yesterday. They've been doing some prep on the Appalachian Trail recently but are headed back to the Pacific Coast Trail in August to walk the ~500 miles they missed last year. They're starting from the Northern part and hiking south.
    • I'm playing photographer for our 'hood festivities today, so I better get started. We have a big golf cart parade to start things off.

    Sunny, dry , but from hot & extreme humidity into the night, to 61F this morning. Weird weather...

    My flags are out ! We may get on the Lake and check out the boat parade. Then steaks on the Weber and fireworks

    Good morning BBB friends.

    The younger wing of the family is all up in Seattle to watch the fireworks over Lake Union, so the two oldsters have no plans. We haven't attended a fireworks exhibit in years. Fun to watch but the post-fireworks traffic jam puts me off. I'll put out the flag this morning and will grill brats for supper. We'll raise the blinds and open the bedroom windows tonight, so Sassy can watch all the neighborhood rockets being illegally launched. She gets excited watching the stuff. I feel for all the pets that get freaked out, instead.

    Good morning and Happy Declaration of Independence Adoption Day to all who celebrate! Remember to be a nerd and remind everyone that it wasn't put to parchment and signed until August 2nd.

    Dave - you're a horrible person for being responsible with money. 😂

    We're heading to Glen Rose to see dinosaur tracks today and then on to Fort Worth for a couple of days to see what there is to see. We have a dinner reservation for Friday night, but otherwise the schedule is wide open. We'll start the trek back on Saturday and may stop somewhere along the way if there's anything interesting.

    A friend introduced us to a lady trying to re-home her dog. Cecilia's going to talk to her again on Monday and see about setting up a time to meet. Never had a boy dog before, but Cecilia could use a companion and hopefully he's out of the lifting his leg on things phase.

    Morning gang.

    Although we are in Mexico they will cater to all the US vacationers with fireworks. I know for sure the is on both sides have shows...one tonight and one Saturday.

    We have no real plans for the day. Traffic will likely be terrible so plan to stay home. Might hit the pool if it's not too crowded and expat happy hour is down the beach at 4.

    Need to figure out my kid craft for the week.
