- Uneventful 4th. Family didn't "overstay" their welcome; DW and I enjoyed quiet eve at home.
- #MotherTucker enjoyed puppy pool day at daycare. He's "loaded up" with Gabepentin for a new Vet visit this morning. Hopeful it goes well.
- My body clock is telling me its Monday, not Friday.
- One more week til' da' beach!

Distant fireworks were going on until midnight. Only mildly annoying. Weird just grilling for one yesterday. Might have blown through all my weekly points with the ribeye steak.
Lucy and Riot (Babe's first baby daddy) tied the knot, so to speak. I suggested Riot, who is 11 yrs old, needed some arthritis medication, and prescribed a canine medication. His owner says he now feels like a million bucks. She didn't realize it was lumbar pain keeping him from doing his business in previous breedings. She thought it was just his plumbing getting old. Fingers crossed his swimmers do the job.

Good morning BBB friends.
Our dog friends do have an important place in our lives, don't they? Sassy is lying across my feet as I type this. Sometimes I think we are too close. When I am away, all she does is mope. She'll play with Rita in the back yard, but then returns to staring out the window or lying at the door waiting for me to come home. It is good for my ego, though, I suppose.
No excitement on our 4th. Fireworks were always illegal in Oregon, where I grew up, so I never had the tradition of setting them off. They're illegal in Tumwater, too, but there are five reservations within a 25-minute drive, and all the tribes have robust sales of fireworks, providing the scofflaws ample ammunition. Sassy didn't mind the noise but was very interested in the smell of gunpowder in the air.0 -

- Nice 4th celebration in the 'hood yesterday. I ran around in the golf cart taking pictures and chauffeuring my friend doing the same with his drone.
- The pic below is a neighbor and her 100 year old mother who is a WWII vet. She was in the Navy and worked in communications.
- Today is DWs birthdays so we will be dining out this evening.

Small fireworks display at the resort next door. Early sunset here so show was over well before 9 ( so crazy for this life long Nebraskain....it's not even dark at 9 in July. Fireworks aren't illegal here but you can't light them on the beach so it was a pretty quiet evening. Resort on the other side has their show on Saturday...I expect the same.
Planning a chill day today. Ron has a massage this afternoon then housekeeping comes at 4. Tour de France should be exciting today so we will likely watch the whole feed.0 -
Good almost noon.
Baby is napping on my bed with me sitting nearby. His big sister and her gf left just now to head to home for work... Dh left for Michigan with his ds. Babys parents are working on their lap tops in guest camper.
It's nice and quiet. Rained from 9pm into early a.m more now too.
Neighbors lit some fireworks around 10pm. Baby was in awe. Maddie dog isn't bothered by them either.
My lake friend got 40stiches. He tried to stop his boat from hitting pier caught a rusty screw and tore his hand bad.yikes. no surgery so he is lucky!
Supposed to clear up and be nice next couple days. We hope. This rain last 2 months is our payback for low snowfall.

Tuck wasn't a fan of the vet. He's fine right up until they bring out any instrument (stethoscope or ear/eye light). He got some high value treats and a popsicle stick of PButter. Growled. Ugh....this is so not his personality. So I feel bad.

Heat and Humidity both high, took Pablo out at 6:15 this morning trying to avoid heat but did not get back to house till around 8.
Grass cut, groceries bought.
Staying in air conditioning this afternoon.
DSIL coming tomorrow for a few days.
