I took an awesome hike, yesterday - the toughest one I have taken in several years. Leg muscles are a bit sore, this morning, and that almost never happens. Taking it easy, today, with some grocery shopping and a bit of shop time.

This is at Milk Lake. It took a 16.7-mile day, with 4,515 feet of climbing on a really rough trail, to get that view for lunch.

Congratulations Dave on quite a hike but what a spot for lunch! I appreciate the photos you and Mike post. It is great to see you doing hikes like this again.

Temps spiked up into triple digits yesterday much higher than forecast. We cancelled our walk when it had already climbed past 80 by 9:30 and just took it easy. I didn’t sleep well. Now we are supposed to cool off so we will head off to an “Art Under the Oaks” event at our local high-end nursery. We are still in search of a piece of local art showing Pleasanton for us to take with us. We exchanged emails with our Oregon realtor about the market up there as we try and get moving forward. I am still following my surgeons guidelines which seems to be paying off but it limits what I can do.

Last night my son made his loaded salad (chicken, apple, feta, candied walnuts etc) with his vinagrette. I stopped eating salad in March but decided to try working an occasional salad. Ate quite a bit with only minor discomfort. So I will try adding one in from time to time as I rebuild my gut chemistry. I may try a small coffee tomorrow. I need to keep it to baby steps and ease back into a higher fiber content, etc diet.

Wow. Beautiful view indeed Dave!!!! Didn't sleep well last night but did a nice early bike ride today before it hits in the 90s.

    Enjoy the day.
