    Good morning gentlemen.

Bought a bicycle to give to DGD for her 11th birthday in a few weeks (her parents pointed out the make and model she wanted). Now I have to hide it from her until her party. We got it at a steep discount at REI but it still cost close to $300. I pointed out that my first bike - of similar size but a single speed and without a lot of other modern innovations, cost $40 in 1956, which represented a lot more money, given the inflation over the last 68 years.

Cool this morning but looking at 80 in the afternoon. I need to get back in the shop to attack that pile of walnut logs.

    GOOD MORNING,
Tis Frydee, but I believe we only have one working stiff left and he has to work some Saturdays.
Need to get yard work done,
Rain and heat has everything growing
DMIL is out of quarantine, so DW is going by to see her.
    No real plans for weekend,

3 mile hike this morning on some bike paths and side trails. Cool and dry, hardly any bugs. Encountered a hydration station on the way for some runners raising money for Make-a-Wish who were doing 25 miles.

    Good Morning

Temps allegedly cooling down finally. Yesterday my outdoor walk left me exhausted as the day wore on. Today I will just make a good start on the indoor exercise routines to get those going and get a new morning routine down. No plans for the weekend beyond making some progress on finances and packing/organizing. Off for a quick trip to the store than home to watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. I caught some of the USWNT game this morning.

Late to the party. Emergency visit to the eye doc with almost total loss of vision in my left eye which has had several surgeries for glaucoma, cataract and Squamous cell CA in situ. Scared me but I think it might bounce back. Lots of tests which were ok other than the fact that vision is almost nonexistent.
At times I think some vision is coming back so I am just keeping the faith for now.
Glad things are looking up for Bill and others here.

    I will get caught up.
