First big harvest of tomatoes and eggplant yesterday. It has been so wet and humid, I have a couple of plants dying on me in spite of epsom salt treatments and spraying with fungicide. They still produced a fair number of tomatoes, and I have plenty of other plants that are doing well.
It cooled off a bit overnight. This morning is supposed to be nice, but thunderstorms this afternoon.
Sam, I sure hope you found a way to get comfortable and get some rest.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

Sorry for what you're going through, Sam. Pray that the recovery goes well.

Did some cleanup in the shop yesterday, then cut up a split log of madrone and turned a pair of tealight holders. Fun to turn small stuff from start to finish.

    Good morning!

I just got back in from watering at the cemetery and our flowers/garden. It is supposed to be really hot today and tomorrow, and then we get a bit of a break.

Sam, holding you in earnest prayer for your shoulder.

Bill, it is exciting to see the progress that you are getting with your pain management and your back.

Dave, it seems as if your pain management and issues are improved as well. Plenty of reasons to send praise prayers along with the pleading prayers.

Our tomatoes didn't do much of anything this year, and it does not look like they are going to. Still, I have watered them in hope. I also don't have any blueberries, and only one blackberry. But, I do have four new roses on a miniature rose bush that I planted in early June.

The rest of today will primarily be a rest day.

    Have a great day!

I never knew this until Sam told me, tomato plants won't flower (or is it germinate?) when temps consistently over 95.
Actually its when nights are over 75 anf days are over 95.

Got out for an early walk in a nearby wildlife area, about 2 miles. One more day of heat tomorrow then cooler weather for awhile. Hurricane may get to us at some point, after Sam gets drenched, but not sure of that.

Will start tracking walks and hand weights till I get into a daily habit.

I should get my bike out of storage and start using that more. Plenty of places to ride in the area.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Good Morning

Hang in there Sam. I pray your recovery proceeds smoothly.

I got out for my walk and did 2 1/2 miles. I need to work on heart rate management when walking. Otherwise it stays up for a long time. After almost an hour of rest I am still cranking along at 108bpm and I am rather fatigued. I am going to try and use some of the techniques I used as runner training by heart rate until my recovery rate improves. I have some cleaning to do today. Tonight I will bake a couple batches of Butter Tarts for tomorrow which is New Brunswick Day. I will bless the neighbors since it isn't safe to have too many of them in the house.
