Rise and shine.
Cool and rainy. DD called me from Maine yesterday and they will be coming home from their summer place next week, so I am going to visit them while there are still there. I'll be camping nearby. They're on a point up on the Maine coast, takes 4-5 hours to drive there. Probably no internet till I get back.
Piano was another learning adventure yesterday. Spent an hour doing something the wrong way (88 times) and started over. And found that adjusting the dampers on a spinet seems nearly impossible. After I got home I drew some diagrams of ideas for a new tool that would possibly make it do-able. After I get back from camping I'll play with that.
Have to get packing. Hopefully the exercise of outdoor life will trim some pounds off.

Mornin' gents.
So I just watched a YouTube video on adjusting the dampers on a spinet piano. Lots of talking and the guy flashed a couple of tools but didn't really appear to do adjust anything. Good luck, Mike. Camping up in Maine sounds fun.
Hope Sassy's check up went well.
Celebrated our 36th quietly at home, eating leftovers and binge watching a Netflix British mystery/thriller series. M had her favorite coconut cake that I ordered from a bakery in New York. We went out last weekend and will be going to a big party this weekend, so she was OK with being homebodies.
Last checkup with my Rheumatology guy this morning. He is retiring, so I guess I will find out who he is passing me off to. I think I am fairly well regulated at this point, but will really miss this guy.
How's Sam feeling today?
Debbie sent lots of cool rainy weather our way. It will run off and on through Saturday. Sunday is supposed to be rain free.

Good morning!
I'm not sure where I was yesterday and posting here. I did get the yard mowed and some weed whacking done. Later, Connie and I went to a local nursery, and I picked up another rose bush which will be planted today. We finally have some cooler weather for a stretch.
We have been watching the Olympics in the evening. I especially enjoy watching the track and field events.
Lee, have you ever watched Midsomer Murders? Connie and I really like that series. We can get it on our Roku channel. There are other outlets including Acorn.
Bob, praying for your eye, and for your other medical conditions.
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Sam, Bob, Bill - you're in my prayers for healing.
I catch replays of key track and field events from the Olympics. Really enjoyed watching the thrilling men's 1,500 meters, yesterday. Cole Hocker is an Oregon alumnus.
Sassy got a clean bill of health from the vet. She complimented Sassy's shiny coat and sparklingly white teeth. Good for another year.
I wanted to go for a hike today, but Rita has somewhere she needs to be at 4, so I'll find another day to hit a trail.0 -
Good Morning
Hocker's run certainly raised the volume in the room. What a kick he had! Ingebrigtsen's strategy looked pretty solid for the first 1400 meters. US almost nabbed the silver too. Nice to see the Oregon running tradition is alive and well. The spirit of Pre lives on. I spent most of yesterday keeping Heather company and trying to take care of her after her extraction. We took a break from the Olympics and watched a couple Barbra Streisand musicals but still streamed several hours of action. Women's soccer held us captive for several hours. We have given in to our Olympic addiction. We may need to go into a recovery program.0 -
