Coffee is good.
How was the zoo, Steve?
I bet that you are really itching to getting back to walking Pablo. How soon will the doc allow you to do that, Sam?
Moving your place of residence is never easy, but it sure sounds like you are getting it all organized, Bill.
Finance Woman, sounds like a superhero.

Good morning!
Connie and I had a wonderful time at the zoo yesterday. We just lingered, and was not in any kind of a hurry. Being land locked like we are here in the center of the country, a big aquarium like this is our only shot at getting a glimpse of the ocean. I wish Connie liked to travel, but she does not. We have not taken a "real" vacation since 2019. Lee, she blames the dog. She says it would kill the dog if we were gone for more than a night. That said, we had a great time yesterday, and a very nice late lunch at a downtown Mexican restaurant. The temps were in the 70s, and it was cloudy and great for walking at the zoo. We have not been to the zoo since the kids were little. The aquarium was added just a couple of years ago.
With the bike trails, we have a 17 mile end to end hike/bike trail system not far from our house. It is a very nice trail system with a few off-shoots for local lakes (ponds for Mike). That's all I need. I'm not fast. I like to take it slower. I average 12 mph on my e-assist bike. Right now, I'm going 6-8 miles. I will eventually work that up, and maybe go ahead and work the speed up as well.
I agree with the assessment that Bill, Bob, and Sam are some of the strongest men that I know. Still praying for all of you.
Question. Do any of you still do any type of stretching routine? Yoga? Tai Chi? I have been noticing my arthritis starting to flare up again as we are working in some cooler weather. I need to start thinking about this again. We will be in the 90s with high humidity again by the weekend, so there is no rush. LOL.
Have a great day!

Good morning gentlemen.
Dropped off the CRV at the body shop yesterday, then took another 23-mile bike ride. Timing was good on that. Heavy rain started just as I put the bike on the rack for the drive home. Spent a couple hours in the shop making shavings in the afternoon. Then sauteed some garden zucchini with onions and garlic to go with our Philippine pork adobo for supper. Rita harvested apples from one of our trees and baked a couple pies. I had one slice of the pie we kept. The rest went in the freezer. The other pie was delivered to DS and DDIL. All-in-all yesterday was a pretty great day. Hope today can match it.0 -
Mornin’ gents.
Back from camping in the woods and lakes. Exhausted from getting in very late last night. We had rain on and off nearly every day. Monday DS had to swim after our canoe when a downpour brought high winds and blew it off the beach out onto the lake. (We both forgot to tie it up…) We camped a mile from our car and without the canoe we would’ve had to bushwack over a mountain to get back.
Quite the adventure. Now I have to unpack all my tarps and tent to dry everything off. I had a good time, but DS asked to leave a day early. Glad he came with me.
Other DS Shawn almost completed his 5K swim at Lake George but he exceeded the max time for the race and they pulled him out at 4.8K. He says it’s the farthest he ever swam. 2nd liver transplant he amazes me with his determination.
Will catch up with comments here later…

Wow Bill Busy busy busy. Good luck with the PSA and colonoscopy.
I do yoga pretty much daily. I might miss one day a week on average. I just have to do it.
Steve the aquarium sounds great. 90s and humid not my cuppa tea.
I always said I wanted to live near the ocean and the mountains.
About 70 to 90' drive to Mountains or th coast from my side of Portland OR.
Oh ouch Mike sorry about your DS having to swim after the canoe. YIKES!
I am amazed at DS Shawn's swim.
Showers should be creeping down here from Olympia to PDX area the next few days.
