    Mornin' BBB

Big day in corporate veterinary medicine. We are switching labs. Sofa king stupid. I feel like we are going from bad to worse. Anything to save a buck. Turnaround time for results is going to be ridiculously slow and inconvenient for the attending veterinarians. Another decision made at the big table attended by not one practicing veterinarian.
Steph, I read a novel where the protagonist wandered with only the clothes on his back and his only possession was a toothbrush, an ATM card, and a passport. He had a substantial bank account he had set up with previous earnings and inheritances. He would buy new clothes and throw the old clothes away every 5 days. He would stay in cheap hotels or with his girl of the moment. Reminded me of you and Ron. Well, not the cheap hotels and girls of the moment, but the minimalism.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • The 6 is even worse Sam. Let's start a movement.
    • Steph, if you play Mexican Train Dominoes in Mexico isn't it just Dominoes?
    • Lee, remember, you own the trump card.
    • Beautiful day in GA which requires some motorbike time and probably some BBQ. Two meetings this afternoon and evening.
    • Stay cool Lou.

    Good morning BBB friends.

I had a great day, yesterday, with a longish bike ride, some shop time, Rita baking apple pies (apples the picked in the morning off one of our own trees) and some quality Sassy time. I'm not a minimalist but I do find joy in life's simple pleasures.

    Haha Lee. Sounds like Reacher.

We've gotten a little more less minimal since we have a car again and are staying in places longer. But having less stuff is pretty easy most of the time.

Stayed up way too late watching the DNC. I only tuned in to hear Michelle Obama and got su€ked in. In general I try to stay as far away from politics as possible. I just can't handle how polarizing the US has become lead, IMO, by mainstream media. It was nice to just search on YouTube for what I wanted to see without all the pundits.

Today is Spanish class and then maybe the gym followed by a nap.

I'm sorry that corporate greed is making your last few years of working painful. A podcast I listen to (maybe stuff you should know or freakanomics) did a multipart show on how your vet is likely owned by a private equity. It was eye-opening.

    G’Afternoon

Early departure. 52 degrees. With no doors and windows it was chilly drove to Ocean city.

Current view is 77 and sunny with a cold miller lite for this minimalist.

I lecture in my MPA class about polarity and bias in public administration. It’s a great dialog but seems to worsen. Media bias is the worst. I digress.

Five days with perfect weather on horizon.
