Kelly - the pool at our condo turns to broth in mid-June. The refreshing part comes when you get out of the pool.
I'm very proud of myself this morning for taking the bus to the synagogue instead of Uber; saving $20 in the process. I can wait the same 10-15 minutes you're stuck waiting on an Uber waiting on the bus. And the driver didn't even want the fare. Typical of government workers - not understanding that routes are determined by fares...
Had a drink with the folks from the group in helping out and Cecilia joined us. We sat outside because they clearly hate me, my wool trousers, and Oxford shirt.
Cecilia did the Natural History Museum yesterday. I think she's going to the Library of Congress today.

Gerrit Cole did not like the heat last night. The young Nats kind of lit him up. Even thought the Yanks lost, it was fun to watch.
#BAL was fun to watch this weekend, and the judges agreed. Sadly, Babe took off on BTG. She does it with me periodically and it does not impress the judges. She just gets a little out of control.
I agree with your thinking on Arlington, Lou. Austin is way better, and probably not much hotter.
Looked like your DS had a very productive time on the fishing trip that you gifted him, Mary. Did you get any of the catch?

Good morning BBB friends.
That was Skip's story about the generous NCO, Lou.
When I was stationed at Fort Meade, I discovered a dozen un-metered, no time limit, parking places next to the Jefferson Memorial reflecting pool. Right about where that photo was taken. That was my go-to place to park for exploring the Mall and all the museums. I'm sure the Park Service discovered their oversight years ago.
DS told me that in the past week we have set a couple records for lowest high temperatures for the date. It's 44 right now (at 6 a.m.) heading for a high of 74. I'll take that over sticky Midwest heat.
Yesterday, we took advantage of the pleasant weather to take a walk in the beautiful forest at a state park near us. Four miles strolling along on the trails. Rita wanted to mark this big fir with a photo and Sassy actually posed for a second.

- Good to be home and sleep in my Sleep Number bed last night. My number is 40 BTW.
- I agree, Lincoln Memorial is at the end of the mall and usually very crowded. Jefferson Memorial is off the beaten path and less hectic. In my Boys Nation days I was the Jefferson Memorial subject matter expert in our group.

Morning gang.
I'd write a book or a blog but that seems like work and i really like being retired. We gave several friends that document their travels. The closest thing I do it update my FindPenguins app. It's kinda like instrgram but shows location. I share with my family and try to update it every week or so with new pictures. It's nice because either can post a video and then delete it off of my phone to save storage but still have access to it.0 -
Gee, this morning I forgot that this is also the anniversary of our bringing young Sassy home from the breeder. Over the last three years she has taken a central place in our hearts. I really love that pup. She is a lot bigger now, but those eyes still grab your attention.
