Brrrr... 50º at sunrise. Kids here just started school, too. Where'd the summer go?
Yesterday ended up wasting time watching bushcrafting videos and native American flute making. Back on track today.

Good morning!
Frankie is back in the house, and only her left ear still really smells. There is a lingering smell in the garage, but that is better now too. I don't think that she got a direct hit this time, but it was still bad. The rain was just starting when I took her out this morning. Her coat got wet enough that the smell was magnified. There will be a bit of a lingering smell for months.
We are finally kicking our heat dome to the east, and today will start with rain, then much cooler for the foreseeable future. Whew!
I am counting on today being a slow, quiet, rainy day in Kansas.

Good day for dogs and handlers yesterday at dog training. Except for those dang stick tights that come off the field weeds this time of year. Spent good portion of my evening combing those out of the feathers on me spaniels.

Some dogs never learn about skunks or porcupines. Be glad you don't have porcupines.
We had foxes barking in the dark this morning. There is a big coyote that appeared last week that we haven't seen again. Buckshot at the ready for the coyote. Hopefully, DW will not start screaming bloody murder next time it is spotted and I'll get a shot at it.
I've had pho a couple of times. Both times it was delicious and very satisfying. I'm with you Dave on the cost of food. What happened to the $5 deal? You can't touch lunch for under $10 now.

I was planning for a bike ride this morning, but I got a call that my new tires are in, so I'm heading to the store at opening to see if they can put them on for me. They're in their Labor Day Sale, so they might be too busy to get it done.
It's 50 here, too. That's up from the high 40s we've been getting. Looking at 80 this afternoon. I need to mow the lawn.0 -

A good bowl of Pho is joy indeed. Off this morning to see the Pain Dr. First time in over a year due radiation and then back surgery. But I need refills on the Meloxicam so I shall come in, probably for the last time. I read through all the real estate docs we need to sign or initial. It reminds me of the end of my career in accounting and finance when I worked in Mergers and acquisitions and had to read and digest the various agreements. More packing, sorting etc on tap today. We need to resolve the POD or storage cube decision and rent a place for when we vacate.0 -

PT this morning, Pablo saw a squirrel yesterday and even though he is on a choker lead he tried to take off irritating walkers back, so he has a new morning walker. I personally believe I could walk him.
Continues HOT and HUMID at least through holiday.
No plans for weekend.
I believe shoulder is improving but they are still making me keep in sling and brace.
