    Good times with DGS.
Sadly, we need to tighten security at our schools. So concerning.
I was just reading about the Fire Chief death.

    BBB OP ;-)

    GM~
    • Young Laddie is going to be a heartbreaker! Enjoy time with family, Doc!
    • After the Commonwealth's little gift in the mail yesterday (Personal Property bills) for our cars, I am officially announcing my intervention is complete! $5,400 sent me through the r🤬🤬f!
    • I am donating (nay, selling) blood later this morning and then finding a nice place to enjoy an afternoon HH (if I have any money left, that is)!
    • Tragic in GA! Sadly, too common anymore. Arm our teachers and shoot the bastahhds! SMH!
    • I need to find the Chief's story. Ugh. So sad.

    Cheers,
    Skipper

    Good morning.

What kills me about the GA shooter is that they knew he was a problem already. The SRO should have been that kid's new best friend on day 1 of classes with check-ins, etc.

Kentucky does that nonsense too, Skip. Tag tax based on the car's value. How bad would it be if you had a Camry?

I'm flying out to Louisville tomorrow morning for the monument unveiling on Sunday. Will be selling Dad's car on Monday and that should be a wrap on the estate except for final tax return and and court paperwork. Maybe by the end of the year? 🤞

    Good morning BBB friends.

I was lying awake at 3 o'clock thinking about estate sales, Lou. Glad you are almost through with the journey.

I picked up the crew from the Tribal hotel yesterday and we stopped at a small-town diner for breakfast. This place looked and felt like something out of Mayberry. Small, very clean, with locals coming in and sitting at "their" tables. The sort of place where it felt normal to strike up conversation with total strangers. Food was plentiful and good, too. I loved it. We'll try to go back regularly.

Very quiet in the house without the grandkids, now. Sassy is very muted, too. She is always sad for a couple days after the Andrew and Elsie leave.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Sassy probably needs to catch up on her missed naps.
    • It appears Laddie was enjoying his meal out with his peeps.
    • DWs Dad passed 3 years ago. Estate settled within a year. She recently received a letter from the IRS that his last tax return which she sent 3 weeks before the deadline was received late, and she owes $.91 in tax and a $175 penalty. Both our Congressman and our Senator have open reviews with the IRS and Postal Service. She did get a hold of someone at the IRS who seems willing to work it out. We'll see.
    • States get their revenue in different ways. In GA the state gives me one license plate a year free as a veteran and charges me $20 a year each for the other two.
    • I love them small town diners.
    • I better get going. I have a motorbike to wash.

    Morning BBB

Stretch class and Spanish class on the calendar for today. Then we will likely go to SINGO again. The theme this week is 80's hairbands ( Ron's favorite as long as they aren't all ballads)

Yesterday the Mexican military (not sure which branch) was doing helicopter water rescue training right outside our condo. Super fun to watch. It would pay to have a better camera or binoculars for such an event.

The humidity is back today. We had a nice break last week. Today is forecasted tò be 98 with 80% humidity. Yikes.

    Good Afternoon,
    PT this morning,
Had to go by and check on DMIL.
Then drove to Athens where DW was getting a recall done on her vehicle and we made a Costco run put all in my car carried her back to dealership and I came home. Now DMIL has called me twice since I got home crying that her phone was not working; how in the heck did she think she called me?
Told this morning insurance has approved 43 more PT sessions, told them let's start with scheduling 8.
Dealing with estates always ended up being a PIA, reason I tend to refer folks to someone else. As I say "no good deed goes unpunished" last one, person who owed estate money filed for a child's share which was much less than monies owed, they were lucky benefactors decided not to go after monies and they dropped claim.
Hope all have a great weekend!
