Good morning!
Fall is coming in here with rain and with much cooler temps. Yippee!!
Sunday is a rest day here, so not much going on today. Chiefs at Atlanta tonight.
Sam, prayers for your rapid and complete healing. I hope that you and Toad can reunite soon.
Have a great day!0 -
Mornin' gents
Yep, had day off and was out the door early to meet DS#2 at a hunting preserve over in New York for a early season chukar hunt. We had fun chasing the girls over 5 miles of relatively gentle terrain. We had to spend a fair amount of time getting the tiny hitchhikers off the girls and our pants at the end. It was very good to see him. He turned 34 last week.
Today is clean the house and laundry day. Smoking a pork butt and leg of lamb for friends.
DW is still in Colorado. She is looking at real estate out there. A couple of places were HOA and only a 15 min walk from DS#1 and DGS. I gently suggested that they may not want the grands quite that close.
Aural hematomas can be challenging to treat. It takes time for the ear flap to heal. I usually aspirate the fluid, inject the hematoma with cortisone, and then lightly bandage the ear. Often the hematoma will pop back up when the bandage comes off but it will slowly regress. Sometimes oral prednisone is helpful. Surgery is not commonly done much anymore, but it is still a tool I kept in my tool box. Surgery is messy and problematic for the owner and the patient. It involves cleaning the surgically created open wound on the inside of the ear flap and the dog wearing a cone of shame for at least 2 weeks. I can't remember the last time I performed that surgery.
(((TOAD))) Sam's unrequited love. Hope they can be reunited soon.
A good easy chair takes a little time to break in. 7 days and counting.
Those mushrooms are so cool, Dave. Very artful.
Mike must be hanging out with the mooses and loons.
Onward and downward ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
The recliner delivery went well - drivers showed up at the very start of the "window" and were careful and polite. The family room now smells like new shoes. I like them a lot. Sassy isn't so sure.
Cooking breakfast for DGS. DGD went to a girlfriend's sleepover birthday party. Everyone is coming over after church. I brought some things back from Salem last week that we will be passing on and looking through. Just cooking a big pot of spaghetti, along with a loaf of crusty bread and apple crisp for dessert.
The partridge field day sounds great, Lee.0 -
Good Afternoon,
Been churched and schooled.
Need to get clothes and stuff together for our trip to Gatlinburg, TN,
DGD will be staying at our house taking care of Pablo while we are gone.
Hope DS wants some of stuff you brought home Dave, I've learned next generation does not put value on things we do.
Glad you got to spend time and hunt with DS#2 Lee.
We have 90's most of week coming up.0 -
Good Afternoon.
Internet issues chewed up my morning. They gave up and are sending a tech tomorrow. Always a good time. 90’s here. We did the final cleanup of the backyard. Just some trash to add to the dump pile and a box to pack. But the heat got us.0
