Good morning!
What a wild day yesterday and night last night! Whew!
Frankie had a hematoma on her ear drained. To protect the ear from when she shakes her head, they gave a wrap like thing that fits over her head to keep the ear still. It looks like she is wearing a bonnet. It stays in place for all of about 5 minutes. I keep fixing it. It covers her eyes to some degree, and she does not like it. I hope to figure it out. It may be a long two weeks.
Connie was doing her prep yesterday for an upper and lower GI scope this morning at 8:00. At 3:00 this morning, she was throwing up. Frankie thought it was time to go outside. She has the runny poops like mom does. Sigh.... I saw a skunk in our yard while we were out there at 3:00. I tried to go back to bed, but rolled around, and Connie was snoring loudly. I just got up at 3:30. A nap is in my future when we get home from her procedure.
Collin should be going back to work this morning.
Time for me to start looking for a job outside of the house. LOL!!
Have a great day!0 -
Mornin' gents.
Still taking deep breaths. I just found out from M that DS#1 will likely be deployed to the Middle East for 9 months. M wants to be there for DDIL and DGS, especially if DDIL gets pregnant. I want to be there too, but am going to be stuck in CT for a bit.
I do like the idea of getting back out West and being close to DGS. I will miss the salt. I will miss a lot here. I have invested a huge amount of good will and friendship. M never really did, I guess that is why she was so quick to make the decision for us. Hope they need a country vet in Monument CO.
Ah yes, the head bonnet for Frankie. LOL, good luck!
Onward and downward ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
Hope the rest of your day is less exciting Steve.
I am taking advantage of an unusually nice, warm day by heading out for a hike by Mt. Rainier. I hope the morning fog burns off. Last time I hiked over there all I saw was the inside of a cloud.0 -
Good Morning
Steve, it sounds like good times are rolling at your house.
Deployment news never lands easy on loved ones. I will pray for all.
We spent our first night in our temporary housing for the next 5 weeks. We were exhausted last night. Fun times dragging our stuff up the stairs to this little condo. Back to the house to start on the garage. Temps have been in the upper 90's so it will be fun working in the garage today. Just 4 more days of this. Today should be easier on our bodies. Yesterday I almost got 9000 steps just moving around the house packing and shifting things.0
