Circumhorizontal arc. I believe I have seen one. Can't remember when, exactly.
Since not working today, I took a 100mg gabapentin last night before bed. Sleep was amazing after midnight to 5 AM and wanted to sleep longer but that is the time I usually get up. I do not feel woozy or light headed and certainly less achy. I wonder if I took a bit earlier if I would get better sleep before midnight.
Weird little tidbit. Read a Mental Floss article about Albert Einstein's reaction to the UFO lights over D.C. in '52. Known to be a man of curiosity, he stated he had no interest in UFO's or little green men. The article hinted that some thought that was code that he actually had some top secret knowledge. I have always thought that alien visitation was an interesting concept, but the physics of space travel from outside our solar system is rather daunting.
Colorado update: Monument CO property sellers tried to play us by stating that they would halt proceedings and go off the market because of inspection problems. We said "OK, there are other properties", and then the seller started arranging for the repairs/fixes and we have a closing.
    How was physical torture?
Off to dog training today. Trial in PA this weekend.
No significant loss for 3 weeks, but no gain.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

So, our Kansas City Royals are going to New York to see the Yankees. Sweet!

I've never hit a jackpot, but I imagine that would be fun. The most I have ever lost at a casino is $30 and that was over 10 years ago. I did win $200 on a friends horse about 25 years ago. For a short time we had horse racing in Kansas City, Kansas.

I have been trying to design lattice work under our deck to shield the hot tub. I got more done yesterday. I'm now trying to figure out how to put a door in it. I'm making slow progress, but it is not keeping me from enjoying the hot tub. I went for months without using it, and I am happy to have it back again.

Connie has PT today, so I'll be taking her. That's a total of about three hours with travel. It is a good 45 minute drive each way.

My shoulder pain was sharp last night after working under the deck yesterday.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Yesterday I gave back some of the money I won on Tuesday. Still ahead for the trip, though. We see people who bet more than $30 per spin on slot machines, Steve. That's not us. We know our budget and we stay within it.

Glad the new prescription is helping, Lee.

I had surgery on my right shoulder about the time Men's Health started, I think. It's been great for all that time but is now starting to hurt again. It can't be the same problem, since they moved the tendon and reattached it elsewhere. Hurts a lot when I reach back and put any strain on it - like holding a door open or picking something out of the back seat. Guess I'll have to get it checked out. As you say: Men's Aches and Pains.

    Good Morning

Yesterday our POD was finally picked up, by next week it will be in storage in Eugene. I checked in with the painter yesterday to review the project and wrote an initial check. Today is a take it easy day. Later on we will swing by the house and take the remaining electronics, batteries, and other hazardous products over to one of the county disposal sites in Livermore. Then we are off to the Brew Pub, probably for the last time, to see Beetlejuice Beetlejuice matinee. I may have a beer for old times sake. Rest of the day is about rest and recovery. Saturday we will load up the rest of our stuff in the garage into 2 UHaul UBoxes that will be picked up and eventually be stored in Coos Bay. Rest of the month is about resting, healing and a bit of travel down here before we depart.

Late check in—spent the day on the water paddling up Tully River, the only local river with any water left. Gorgeous fall foliage and some wildlife, including a heron that played catch me if you can all day. Hauled over 5 beaver dams.
