Good morning!
Frankie had me up at 5:00 this morning. Bless her heart.
I do have several things that I want to get done today. I didn't get a lot done yesterday. I just was not feeling well.
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Tough trip home yesterday. They couldn't get a plane for our flight, so we were delayed for that, then the pilot got sick, and they had to fly a replacement in from LA. Result was an almost three-hour delay. We got home close to midnight. Glad to sleep in my own bed and drink good coffee from my own pot.
I'll pick up Sassy at 10, followed by a celebratory walk, then a bath. I'm sure the lawn will need work in the afternoon.0 -
Good Morning
I am glad you were able to finally get home even at that late hour. Enjoy your Sassy reunion.
Yesterday was a well needed day of rest. Today we will head back to the house to load the UHaul UBoxes that are coming sometime between 11 - 4:00. We will go slow since it is forecasted to be 104 today. We will be in the garage mostly and will run a fan and do the best we can. If necessary we can finish early tomorrow before they cart them away. That will only leave the stuff to haul to the transfer station for the dump, but we will wait to it cools off at the end of the week. The dump on a hot day is not a joy. Painter finished most of the painting earlier than planned, he brought in extra help to get it done. Waiting to here when the flooring guy is coming, and then painter is back to do baseboards and touch-up. Either way we are now ahead of schedule and the realtor can take her pictures and post the listing and set up for the open house. I am sick of the heat though. It drains me.0 -
Good Afternoon,
104 in October, where is FALL?
I finished up trimming shrubs in front of house, took me a week to do what I have done in a day.
Pablo let us sleep till 7:30 this morning, took him for 1.7 mile walk longest since surgery; let him stay out front while I finished trimming shrubs; must have worn him out, slept since we came back in.
I can do short trips on Toad now.0 -
Thought I checked in, but I guess not.
Bill, careful in that heat! Yikes, 104°.
Sam, Toad will be happy to have you back.
Got my kayak back from a friend I loaned it to. Now I have two boats that need to be stored so condo association doesn’t gripe at me. I think I will talk to a realtor about the feasibility of buying a small house with yard and garage. Need to start rather than just think about it.
Will take the kayak for a ride tomorrow, have only used it once since DSIL gave for Christmas.
Will test my canoe pole also. Spent the day yesterday trimming with table-saw then hand planing and sanding. 12 feet long with a metal cap and spike on each end. Great for ascending shallow rivers.
