    Good morning!

Frankie is back to waking me at 5:00. Sigh....

I had a very restful day yesterday including going on a luncheon picnic with Connie out at the local lake. It was a bit windy, but the temp was in the mid 70s and it was very nice.

Bill, I am glad that you and Heather are at this point in your moving. I am excited for you two!

Sam, it did my heart good to hear that you were taking Toad out again for short rides. Sweet!

Chores are on the docket for today.

Collin has been on a temp to hire job for three weeks. He was sick for one of those weeks. He found out yesterday that the company does not want him back. He is looking for work again. This is such a frustrating situation. Collin just does not seem to see the necessity to be a work every single day even if you are not feeling well, unless you have a temperature or are in the hospital.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin' gents.

I know a young man much like Collin, nice kid, just completely unmotivated to join the workforce. In his 30's and still lives with his mum and her boyfriend. Both parents have had careers and are hard workers. Kind of like that sweet golden retriever that just wants to lay on the couch.
Yesterday I did not much, much like that golden retriever. I did smoke half a turkey breast to eat on for the week.
Bill, you must be chomping at the bit!
    TOAD hit the road. Nice.
Very cool photos of the float down the river, Mike. Serene.
That is a big jump in weight for you, Dave. I too am not good free wheeling or intuiting. Kind of how I got back to 290+ lbs.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

That's a big step out of the way, Bill.

Sassy is not lazy; she just uses her energy efficiently. She is happy to do anything as long as I am nearby when she is doing it.

Have to get the grandkids up, fed and to school this morning. We'll pick them up when school lets out and do it all tomorrow morning. Then they're back to their folks.

Going to be a really nice warm fall day, today. I'm sure Rita will be cleaning up in the garden, while I have work to do in the shop.

Wow Bill looks like ya ready to go with all those PODS etc. Nice. football was great for Oregon beating Michigan State and Washington beating Michigan.
Lots of shake ups in the
Ap poll especially with the Vanderbilt Commodores beating Alabama. First time in 64 tries they beat a top 5 rated team. Went from 0-63 to 1-64 now.
Oregon now number 3 in AP. Hope that doesn't jinx them too much. Tough tough match coming up against Ohio State.

Off to PT todfy for shoulder.

    Good Morning

Heat wave continues. Today is supposed to be the end of it at 102 and then cooling. We should be in the 80's by Wednesday. Still resting and healing from the last couple of weeks of moving out. I finished locking up the UBoxes yesterday morning, gave the plants in the back a good soak and rested the rest of the day. The flooring guys are hopefully starting this week. The painter finished 3 days early. Only real moving stuff to do now is apply for a mailbox in Florence so we can set up mail forwarding. We are using a mailbox at a shipping/mailbox place who let us do it without being in town. We have to notarize the forms. Our next door neighbors are taking us out for Italian tonight to say goodbye. We have been neighbors for 23 years. Most of my immediate neighbors have been around for a long time. It will be strange not to have them around. Heather wants to go for a walk but I think it will be too hot before she gets ready.
