Frankie woke me up at 3:30 with the runny poops. I went back to bed after that. She woke me up again at 5:30. I stayed up.
Kansas City had a double win last night with the Royals over the Yankees, and the Chiefs over the Saints.
I worked on my under the deck project all of yesterday afternoon. I will likely be out there again today. I have figured out how to put a door on. I am self taught on all of the home improvement projects. In the old days, it was a Black & Decker book series. Now it is YouTube. I will call a guy to come put in a new electrical outlet. Connie won't let me do electricity or plumbing anymore.
I have a 1971 Chevy C10 truck. It has a push button door handle. Yesterday, I pushed the button to get in the driver's door, and it went all the way into the door. Sigh.... It is always something. I got into the truck from the passenger side. Now I have another project I can do! Hello YouTube!
My weight is holding at 169.1 this morning. It is not going up, but it is not going down either.

Steve, projects like those are one of the joys of retirement. You get a feeling of accomplishment without the pressures of a rigid timeline.
I'll get the grandkids to school this morning, then they are back to their own home in the afternoon. Sassy will be sad.0 -

Steve, it is good to see you enjoying your retirement with these projects
The heat wave is finally over with temps dropping well into the 90's today and into the 80's after that. The last 10 days have been high 90s or into the 100s, especially the last 5 days. We enjoyed a nice dinner with our neighbors at a local Italian restaurant. Heather and I split a lasagna with a salad. Now that life is slowing down I am more focused on healthy choices. Flooring is starting its installation today. Our realtor surprised us by suddenly deciding we should rip out the downstairs bathroom flooring and extend the LVP in there for "flow" she'll get back to me with an estimate. That earned her a lovely, full of frustration response, since we spent hours cleaning it, scrubbing the grout, and cleaning it again. It may not happen due to cost. Besides pulling and remounting the toilet, the pedestal sink is bolted to the wall. A change in flooring height would be a challenge. Even Heather was a bit snarky on this idea and she is the nice one in the marriage. Off to the Notary today to get our mailbox application in Florence notorized so we can submit to the mailbox place we are using up there during the transition.0 -
Missed a few days in a row here and today almost another. Drove 3 1/2 hours yesterday to DB’s son’s house for lunch and a nice visit with DB and him. Met his wife & kids and GKs. Haven’t seen the nephew since me dad died in 1980. Long drive back, glad I went.
I can visualize the old door handle button disappearing trick. Now there’s a fun DIY project.

Shoulder has been giving me fits.
Stores around have not restocked, had to go about 60 miles for groceries.
Crews in neighborhood cutting up trees that had fallen, lots more than I realized.
At least new hurricane should pose no issues to Georgia.
Much cooler evening temps.
PT not till 12 tomorrow, maybe able to ride Toad there.
Pablo will sleep till 7, and always wants to go to bed between 9:30 and 10.
I understand realtor with flooring, having the same will make unit seem larger but she should have brought up at beginning. How is real estate market there?
Mike, hope you can find small home with storage.
