    @Katmary71 – A vanilla “Mother Jar” is the first jar that you put the vanilla beans in and alcohol (I did vodka). When you take some out, you add a few beans here and there along with more alcohol to replace what you took. Mine’s only been going for a few years. Some people I’m online friends with have had theirs for decades! I’m so sorry about the charity, but that was a smart decision. You don’t want to be legally responsible for their misdeeds. Enjoy the time off and get caught up on the books you’ve been wanting to read. Oh – and I hope this roommate works out…she sounds like a keeper. Awesomesauce on winning the grant! I’d want to be petty, too, so good job on taking the high road. Dang that’s a big gang of turkeys!!!

    @baodell17724 – You did a better job than me. I ate an entire bag of gingersnaps 2 separate days this week. Why are they such spicy goodness?!?

    @askewcr – So glad you were able to recharge in the Smokey Mountains. Sounds like the perfect getaway.

    @morenin – My daughter has been having issues with her current bipolar medicine, too. Lab work shows she’s well below the therapeutic amount, but her psychiatrist is out of the country for another 10 days. Super sucks all around. I hope you get your Rx cocktail figured out quickly.

    @DrewsAnna – How awful. I hope your body adjusts soon. Changing injection days is a smart idea.

    @trooworld – Cookies are a delicious alternative :)

    @TeresaW2024 – I hope Joe is doing better. I’m pretty annoyed with myself for the lack of progress, too. We’re gonna get through this season, tho. Making a plan is something I need to sit down and focus on, too.

    @FushiaKat – Sorry about all the house issues going on, but that trike totally makes up for it!

    I was cleaning up my phone pictures last night…deleting lots of old screenshots. Came across one from October 2015 where I had posted on FB that I lost 45 pounds in 6 months. Trying not to let it depress me. I need it to motivate me…proof that I can do it again. I know a lot of my problems stem from not being strong enough to tell Hunter NO when she makes food. It’s pretty rare now for her to make healthy meals. I know it will be better when I’m living alone again since I just won’t bring that crap into the house to begin with. But she and hubby still haven’t been able to get approved for an apartment and it feels like I’m never going to be able to change my situation. So angry with myself that, as a single parent all those years, I built up a huge mound of credit card debt that I’m still whittling away at. Gonna take me another 2 years if I can keep on the Dave Ramsey path. Otherwise, I’d just find myself an apartment and give them my house. Just to have peace again. I’m so sorry to dump on you all here. Thanks for listening.

    What's your win for the past week?
    There were 3 times I wanted to stop for fast food, but didn’t.
    What are you actively working at improving this coming week?
    Not eating junk just because it’s in front of me.
    How are you feeling? Physical issues? Motivated? How are you feeling, mentally? Strong, average, stressed, depressed?
    Physically, I’m really hurting (ankles and knees). Mentally, I’m also hurting…sad, depressed, stuck.
    What is your mindset going into the holidays? Are you going to gain, lose or stay the same?
    I’m going to do my best to not gain. If I lose, that would be great…but maintaining will be satisfying, too. I’m going to try focusing on conversations during meal time and eat slower.
