Got a half-inch of snow last night, but clear sunrise this morning. Brrr.
DD moved in, 3rd floor in an old "3-decker"; lots of exercise carrying things up. Nice place inside, hung her curtain rods for her. She's ecstatic.
Talked to DSIL about piano move, he insists we use his Tundra and not bother renting a box truck. When I told him about my winches and ramps he said, why bother? he and DGS could just pick it up and carry it! (600 lbs!)
What could go wrong? Not until week after next, but will be an interesting day trying to curb the football testosterone.
Have to dig in and get decluttering to make some room here for my new 116 year old piano. Eventually I'll probably ditch the keyboard I have, or stand it up in a corner. I've already stashed a lot of my stuff in a small storage unit, which has helped.
A hike somewhere local today. Will have to bundle up.

Good morning!
We are expecting our first light snow of the season this morning. Up to 1 inch is possible.
We don't have any plans for today because of the weather. We are also still eating leftovers.
Bill, I hope that you have a new house today.
Mike, I think that I would trust your moving equipment over two guys trying to lift 600 pounds up stairs.
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
I ate the last piece of pumpkin pie last night. Thanksgiving is truly over.
No snow in Tumwater, just chilly. I need to run to the store this morning, then Rita wants me to hang some Christmas lights. A few weeks ago, she said she didn't want to spend time decorating, then, while I was hiking, she started putting things up. Still might not put up the tree, but we will look festive.
Lots of big football games. I'll be glued to the TV to watch the Ducks V. Huskies.0 -
Mornin' gents.
Frosty here. Light dusting.
Let's hope wisdom overcomes testosterone. Physical strength is always nice, but let physics do the work. We have electric lift tables in the exam rooms, and although sometimes dogs don't like the ride, the lift tables save a lot of wear and tear on the lower back and knees.
M is home for another week, then off to Colorado. Leaving me here for another 11 days before I sally forth.
We have two potted plants that come indoors for the winter, I think I am going to set up a 5 gallon bucket with one of those automatic water timer pumps. M hates to have other people in the house when we are gone.
New place is entirely managed by wifi. God help us, even the amazon delivery guy has a code for the one of the garage doors so M can order stuff while she is here in CT. Yeesh.
Being good with brined turkey tenderloins tonight and pork tenderloins tomorrow.
Onward and downward ;-)

Good Morning
I imagine we all remember that feeling of invincibility and profound wisdom we had in our late teens and early 20's. All things were possible especially if you applied enough muscle to it. I also remember the number of stupid jams and fixes we got ourselves into. I vote for the proven mechanics.
The Amazon having access to the garage thing always seemed more convenient then wise to me.
We are headed over to Florence to explore and poke around. We were assured we had a deal yesterday by the other realtor who said he was busy with appointments. Since the counter offer expired yesterday our agent submitted a new counter with all the agreements in place. Somewhere between the Sellers and their agent someone needs to be motivated to do this thing, especially when all has been agreed to. The clock is ticking on the house they want to buy so....
Eugene temps are a tad polar. It's warmer over on the coast so west we go to get our mail, explore and perhaps look at some furniture.0
