Beautiful sunrise here, but very cold. WIll drop into teens in a few days. I might skip the river trip this weekend--don't want to need an ice-axe canoeing.

Bible study this morning. Haven't been in awhile, always a temptation to have "just one piece" of muffin, pastry, cookie, etc. and then downhill from there. And then the women want me to take the leftovers...

DSIL says DGS can lift the 600 lbs all by himself. Not going to happen on my watch! I'll be selling piano parts on eBay.

Gazebo sounds like a nice project. It's been COLD, and the wind makes worse. I've had to warm up with hot drinks lately myself.

Bill, congrats on the house! The end of the Quest! You guys are amazing.

Starting on a decluttering and cleaning out blitz next few days. Lots to do, but its long overdue.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Mornin' gents.

Grill Gazebo looks nice and will be very handy.
When I get to Colorado, I will have to oversee some kind of pole barn style garage/dog kennel construction. M has made it very clear, there will be no man cave in the new house. Sometimes I feel the proverbial vise on a certain body part.
Saw a bald eagle sitting on the ice on the pond just half a mile from my house. You ice fishing yet, Mike?
Ordered two 3 rib roasts for Xmas dinner from Colorado butcher. We are going to have 6 carnivores at the table, and 4 will be men with big appetites. DS#1 will smoke on his pellet smoker. Struggling on gifts for DDIL and DDIL's DM.
There was a time I could deadlift and squat 600lbs, but I have moved enough furniture to know that good old fashioned physical mechanics is safer for both the humans and the furniture.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

I have not used my smoker in months. I need to change that when it gets a hair warmer. We are in the time of year now where it will be very cold for a couple of days, then warmer, then cold again. For example today is in the 30s, tomorrow in the mid 50s, and then Thursday an expected high of 29.

I bunged myself up pretty good when I fell on the ice yesterday. I didn't go to the Dr., but perhaps that is still going to happen. My left wrist is a little swollen, and now you can start to see the bruising forming. I have two or three ribs that are hurting me, and my left shoulder is hurting more than it had been before the fall. My left hip is also tender. Ugh!

So.... More resting and probably not doing a whole lot today.

Bill, congratulations again on the house closings! I saw your new digs on Zillow. Way to go!

    Sam, praying for your DW.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

    Sorry about the fall, Steve.

Good news on the house front, Bill.

I should buy a Christmas roast. I haven't done that for several years.

It seems parts are slow to arrive, so we will be without the CRV for a while. Sigh.

It's 35 degrees this morning. Yesterday the clouds never burned off and we didn't make it out of the 30s. Hope for better, today.

    Good Afternoon,
Had typed out comment earlier but disappeared.
It was 28 this morning, now 43, 25 degrees in morning. Should be warmer next week but wet.

    Good Morning

    2 Rib Roasts! Sounds good!

We still don't know when the sale of our house closes. Probably tomorrow, but everything we signed yesterday still says the 12th. They are waiting on something from the buyers bank that has been verbally communicated but the documentation is still missing. They say we will get something electronically to sign at some point. We are headed to Florence to deliver the deposit on our new home. We will visit the furniture store we are using to get and idea of what we want, lead times etc for the items of furniture we need to replace. I made a turkey pot pie yesterday with leftovers and a cheese biscuit top. Never fails. I made 2 small ones rather than 1 big one so we have a meal on hand.

Steve, sorry about your fall. Don't wait too long to get it checked if it doesn't start to improve.

No ice fishing yet. Only 1/2” or so. If cold continues we’ll have good ice by New Years.
