Rain stopped and temp dropped from 60º to 30º so roads icy now. Condo salt truck came to wake everyone up 5AM with back-up beeper.

Piano class this morning, then DD coming at noon to go with me to find a natural spring she read about in nearby woods.

All's set for piano pickup tomorrow. Renting a box truck, meeting DS in RI, then meeting my powerlifting DGSs and SIL back here. I have a ramp and winch and dolly plus other gimmicks I hope will make it light work. They just have to make sure it doesn't tip over. That's the theory at least.

My belt is now getting loose on the 2nd hole, lost 6-7 lbs. the last month, I think.

Sam, I wish I know what to say... will keep your wife in my prayers...

    Onward and downward.

    Good morning!

Sam, I am in earnest prayer for your wife, and also praying for you, the caregiver. This is not an easy journey.

Bill, I am very happy for you and Heather. It sounds like you are already transitioning into being an Oregonian.

I have a dental appointment at 9:00 this morning. I think the timing is good. I have something going on with one of my teeth.

Collin is struggling with his new job, but he is wrapping up his third week there tonight. I am praying that he at least makes it until after Christmas. If he makes it that long, there is a good chance that he will make it longer.

My ribs are almost pain free now. I am very happy about that. It does not hurt to sleep on them in bed anymore which allows me better sleep too.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin' gents.

90% of life is showing up. Keep on keeping on. Praying that Collin sticks with it.
Praying that whatever tack the oncology team takes for Joanne, it will provide the intended result.
Congrats on being a loser, Mike! Good luck with piano today. My knee and back ache just thinking about it.
Trying to wrap up Christmas gifting. I crack myself up.
    Finished raining, now freezing.
Love the last minute home inspection fixes when buying and selling. So glad there have been no major hurdles, Bill.
I ate more Xmas cookies yesterday. Ugh.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

Add my prayers to the others, Sam.

We still need a couple more presents for the grandkids. They're the only people we buy gifts for anymore. But, after a full day driving Rita, yesterday, I am ready for some me time in the shop. Not a good day for outdoor activities - 35-degree rain mixed with snow.

    Good Morning

    Prayers for Joanne continue

I, for one, would pay cash money to see a video of the great piano move escapade.

I got a call yesterday morning from Florence that are long awaited Della Robbia Wreath had arrived at our mail place. They knew we were eager for it. It has been part of our Christmas for over 40 years. When we hang it Christmas season begins in our hearts. We ordered it late since we didn't have an Oregon shipping address till we got up here. So we threw our plans aside and returned to Florence. Heather was under the weather due to a bad allergic reaction to some food the previous night but she decided to come but we left late. We stopped and picked up my refurbished Birkenstocks along the way and visited a local coffee/bakery shop in Eugene for a hot beverage and a Morning Glory Muffin. Best I ever had, better than mine. I may need to work on my recipe and try and achieve their magic. We pulled in to town in the rain as it was getting dark, got the wreath and headed back. Exciting drive on a dark winding road in the rain. It sure sharpens ones power of concentration. We hung the wreath on the door and even did a little online Christmas shopping. Just some groceries, some laundry and organizing the papers and electronic files that we have accumulated this past week.
