Good to read how everyone tracks their goals.A bingo is good especially adding personal treats when goals have been met.Ive used the fitness tracker in the past but it doesn't work on my phone so not really convenient.
My long term goals for 2025 are
To increase my strength training sessions at home & at the gym.
To increase my cardio as even though I do Dance Fitness 5 x a week my heartbeat doesn't elevate that much even though I put alot of effort in.
To get to my goal weight on or before my birthday on 10th April.
To spend more time doing things I love, like reading, embroidery & painting.

How I am going to reach these goals.
For strength visit the gym at least twice a week & follow a plan of exercises for upper & lower body.
For cardio I will walk up & down a steep hill or steps in the park for 15 mins 3 x a week or more.
To get to my goal weight
I will log & weigh all food & drink I put in my mouth.
I will drink 2 litres of water a day
    I will eat 5 + portions of fruit & veg a day.
I will avoid all processed foods & Saturated fat.
    For my hobbies
I will make a space in my bedroom so that my crafting materials are accessible & I have a place to sit to read or paint.

I do not have a google account so I don’t use the habit tracker. I have been using a monthly planner (hard copy), sometimes I miss having a desk blotter calendar 🙃. I noticed the weekly habits tracker beta on mfp home, it seems pretty limited but I am trying it out for water tracking.

OK, my long term goals for 2025 are:
    • Be able to comfortably run 5km/ 30 minutes consistently
    • Put myself first - not to the detriment to my relationships, but to not set myself on fire to keep others warm
    • Reach a healthy weight range that I am comfortable with

    My short term goals are:
    • Get back to taekwondo from 8 January and go consistently through January
    • Shed all my habits from the holiday period and get back to the consistency I had up to the holidays
    • Dry January until 30 Jan!!

Everyone has amazing short and long-term goals. You are all so inspiring!

    Long-term goals:

    - Spend time enjoying the present moment, not thinking or planning about what comes next

    - Tell my friends and family how much they mean to me more often

    - Don’t sweat the small stuff

    Short-term goals:

    - Winters can be cold, dark, and slow; so find movement that I enjoy during these colder months

    - If I get a whim to bake; bake! Don’t stress the calories; enjoy the treat and share with friends and family

    - Make my way through my collection of to be read books with a good cup of coffee or tea

@wishfuljune I love all of your goals! And I don't know about you but it seems like someone is sneaking books into my TBR pile when I'm not looking as it's growing faster than I can read! LOL

    Long term goals
    1. Maintain in my goal range
    2. Solve my insomnia
    3. Get stronger

    Short term goals
    1. Log all my meals
    2. Keep to my sleep schedule and keep a journal of what works and what interrupts my sleep
    3. Workout every morning before breakfast

My goal for 2024 was to walk 2024 miles. I not only succeeded, but I exceeded 2500 miles. I'll let you know my total on January 1st.

@micaroo4 I want to thank you for inspiring me to investigate and see if I could find this information anywhere in my Fibit app. And VIOLA!! It's there! Pitiful as it may be...I apparenlty only walked 1,516.44 miles in 2024. Which isn't surprising really as I went from averaging 15k-18k steps a day in previous years to <10k this year. Guess I need to up my game. And (not surprisingly) I went from hovering aroun 140 lbs +/- to hovering around 150 +/- during the same time frame. My new Garmin should help to inspire me (drumming fingers as I anxiously await the Amazon delivery van). Good luck with your goals!!

    Happy New Year everyone!

After some thought my goals are below

    Long-term:
    1. Complete 4 5ks with my daughter in the fall
    2. Read 75 books
    3. Have my annual physical and any associated tests before signing up for Medicare in July

    Short term:
    1. Consistently reach >10k steps per day in preparation of beginning a Couch to 5k program
    2. Complete my vision board to hang in my office as a reminder of my goals
    3. Deep clean 1 item from my list each week (closet, desk, craft room, etc.)

Good luck to everyone on reaching your goals in 2025!!

Not sure if it applies or can help anyone but I have times when dry nasal passages impact my breathing which ends up causing interrupted, crappy sleep. There are different ways to address it but I inhale steam from salted water, sometimes I add a couple drops of essential oils.

My long-term goal is to get down to 225/220 pounds. Although I would still be considered obese, I feel this is a realistic goal for me and I actually looked decent at that weight, just thick/overweight, though technically still obese according to my BMI.

My short-term goal is to get down to 275/270lbs

My big accomplishment for 2024 was I was able to work up to jogging/walking intervals and I reached my first short term goal of 300lbs. It's been about 8/9 years since I was down to that number. 🫨

I loved reading everyone's goals! How do you plan to track your short term goals? I know some are doing bingo, anyone using the habit tracker? I use a calendar that I print out so I can see it throughout the day and then write it in at the end of the day.

@lauren_989 most of mine are tracked in MFP or if exercises, then covered by badges on Garmin...I've tried using the Habit tracker, but I deal with so many spreadsheet, I just can't grasp another one...it is a good tool though, if it fits in your plan.

Thanks to everyone who set their long and short term goals…reading through them was very motivating and I can’t wait to watch us succeed with them. Perhaps we’ll do a “how’s it going” in June…
