Not going to put too much faith in this. My scale gave me a range of 6lbs today but this came up most frequently.

@bethanie0825 Yay glad to hear you're feeling better!

@trooworld Shoot I hope you get a good night's sleep tonight and feel better tomorrow. I'm glad you enjoyed bird watching.

@morenin I really hope the iron is the solution to feeling better for you, hope it kicks in faster than expected. Yikes yes wait until you can stand before you try any tricky exercise moves!

@AprilRaineyBattle Congratulations on finishing the 21 Day Fix Workout Plan, awesome job! Congrats on being down a size too! How long are the workouts? I'm not a fan of long ones either it's easier for me to do a few short ones than one long one.

    @TeresaW2024 @trooworld @AprilRaineyBattle Congratulations team winners!

Hi everyone! I got up, worked out, then went to my friend's house who was having a Valentine's Cards For Seniors card making party. She's the mom of the charity president and it meant a lot to her, I felt a little weird with the charity president there but the other friend who resigned and I wanted to do it for our friend as she really wanted us there. Of course the cards going out to seniors in care homes is amazing too. I went to Sacramento after that and met up with my CRPS support group, wish we all lived closer so we could hang out more. Totally wiped out I'm having some tea then heading to bed. Have a great Monday!

@TeresaW2024 and @AprilRaineyBattle congrats on making it onto the leaderboard!!!

@txcritter69 @sleepygirl79 Congrats on the losses!

@morenin Oh, you must feel awful. I hope it doesn't take the full 2 weeks to start feeling better. Hugs.

@AprilRaineyBattle Congrats on finishing! And that's great that you are down a clothing size!!!

@Katmary71 Thank you! I went to bed at 6:30 pm last night, I was just exhausted. That sounds fun, to make cards for seniors. I bet @vegan4lyfe2012 would love that! Take it easy today.

Hi all. I am not feeling better but not worse. I got some Zicam yesterday and started taking that, hopefully, it's not too late to knock this out of my system. I mostly stayed around home yesterday. I made three recipes for meals this week: Spicy Instant Pot Carrot Soup, Easy Crab Cakes, and The Best Vegan Broccoli Cheese Soup. The carrot soup is REALLY spicy, I may have put too much curry paste in. The vegan soup is okay but I had in my head the taste of broccoli cheese soup so it wasn't like that and was a bit disappointing. I think as long as you don't have that in your head, it would be good. I am back to work today, I will wear a mask in case I am getting a sickness so I don't spread it.

@AprilRaineyBattle I think setting a no cookie goal is a great idea. I’m doing the same thing with most foods that contain sugar. Congrats on finishing the 21-Day Fix! What program is next on your list?

@Katmary71 What a nice charity to give V-Day cards to seniors! I’m sure it was a little occurred with the charity president so good for you for going. :)

@trooworld I hope you start to feel better! It's a bummer that you didn’t love the broccoli cheese soup. That is one of my favorite soups! :)

Good morning! Can you believe this month is almost over? I mean, it’s only been like a zillion days already! :D My wrist is almost in pain, and I’m so relieved. I want to get back to using my dumbbells and work on my lean muscles. Today, I will do a workout and then try not to overeat since tomorrow is a weigh-in. :)

@TeresaW2024 - up next is probably 21 Day Fix extreme. Do you do structured workout programs? My bingo goals for 2025 include completing 2 structured programs and I figure two 3-week ones are better than nothing LOL. I’ll see what happens after those. I want to be consistent with strength training.

@trooworld - I hope the sickness passes quickly. Spicy Carrot soup sounds so good!

@Katmary71 The 21 Day Fix workouts are about 30 mins a day. I love that it has a variety of workouts throughout the week so you are not doing the same thing every day. I got really good results the first time I did it too. I just didn’t stick to any strength training consistently afterwards.

@trooworld I hope the Zicam has kicked in since you posted! Have a great day at work, good luck keeping up your energy (the drive alone would be hard being sick nevermind a whole day).

@TeresaW2024 Your wrist is feeling better? I hope that's what you meant and you're not in as much of pain. Have a great workout!

@AprilRaineyBattle Thirty minutes a day isn't bad I'm glad you're enjoying them and seeing results. Keep up the great work!

@laurelfit57 I'm so glad you're doing better, hopefully all that soreness and stiffness will be gone real soon.

Hi team! Had planned on a relaxing day after the greenhouse but I was trying to clear up paperwork and couldn't get through via phone so I drove there and spent half the day waiting but it's DONE! Tomorrow's work and class so it's a busy day. My last roommate (young man I was trying to help) stopped by, I'm sad to hear he's still on the streets even after meeting his father for the first time who ended up having severe addiction issues. He left a tent here and I didn't even know it was his since I have a bunch of my brother's stuff in the garage. I'd saved some things he left behind that he's going to pick up in a few days. Have a great Tuesday!

still at my heaviest weight - working on not beating myself up over it. some emotional issues going on with one of my friends and trying not to get sucked into rescuing them. i need to focus on myself, but always seems easier to solve someone else's problems than my own.

    Good morning Slimpossibles!

We had an earthquake yesterday at 10:22am. I was standing next to Gregg's desk, and there was a big Boom, and it felt like the whole building shifted a bit to my left, and then back. Gary and Cory ran out to the shop floor, thinking that someone had dropped a mold. Gregg knew immediately that it was an earthquake. The tea in his teacup was rippling (like Jurassic Park, when the T-rex was coming). The ground was still shaking. Gary and Cory came back in the office, waving their phones and announced it was an earthquake, felt all over New Hampshire and Massachusetts. We found out the epicenter was 8 miles off the coast of York Maine. I think it was a 3.9. Big for an east coast quake. Gives everyone something to talk about. I came home to check the house, because I was worried about the gas lines and water pipes. A couple of things had fallen, but no damage.

@AprilRaineyBattle I liked 21-Day Fix Extreme, too! :) I have had a Beachbody (or Bodi as it’s called now) membership for years and love lifting workouts. When I hurt my wrist, I turned to jumping on my rebounder and doing Body Groove workouts. But I will be returning to Bodi and trying to decide what I want to do. I had just finished LIIFT More when I got hurt. I love Autumn and Joel best! :)

@laurelfit57 I’m glad you are feeling better. Just keep taking care of yourself. <3

@Katmary71 Yes, that was a typo! :D I am doing much better. I think the only pain is from the injection, which caused a bruise and made the skin more tender. I used my 8 lb. weight yesterday with no issues. :) Sad about your old roommate. I hope he finds his way soon.

@micarro4 Wow, I didn’t hear anything about the earthquake and we have news on all day long in this house because Joe loves it. :) I was born in California and remember how scary they can be.

@trooworld You posed the same time I did! :D I am sorry you are getting a cold/flu and you have to have a deep cleaning. Take it easy! <3

Good morning! I am a little in shock that I have lost a total of 11.6 lbs. this month! I have never lost so much in one month, and it just shows that if you stick to the plan, it will really work. :D Not much going on today other than the usual. Have a good day! :)

How do you track your progress, and what’s been the most rewarding milestone so far?
I track my progress by the scale and how I feel. Right now, the most rewarding milestone is that I’m also back on track and doing what I need to do. It feels great! :)

@TeresaW2024 Thank you! Me too, I love broccoli and cheese soup and I think I just couldn't get the taste of the "real thing" with cheese out of my mind lol. I can't believe this month is almost over. Although it seems like it has been a long month lol. I'm glad your wrist is feeling better.

    @AnAbsoluteDiva Congrats on the loss!

@AprilRaineyBattle Congrats on the loss! Thank you, me too! :D The soup was really good.

@laurelfit57 Good that the scale is going in the right direction! I am glad you are doing better. Big hugs.

@Katmary71 The Zicam is holding its own for now! The battle has not been won yet though lol. I definitely had to take a nap on my lunch break but I made it the whole day. Oh how frustrating to have to go there but I'm glad you got it done. That's sad about the young man. Have a good day!

@bobboyardee That's smart not to get sucked into rescuing your friend, although that is hard to resist. Take care of yourself.

@micaroo4 Wow, I'm glad everything (and everyone) was okay.

Hi all. I still feel like I am getting a cold/flu but the Zicam is fighting it off. I felt well enough to last all day at work yesterday. I took a nap in my car on my lunch. I ate some of the spicy carrot soup for dinner, it was good and the spice level went down a tiny bit overnight. Today, I have to go to the dentist to get a deep cleaning on all 4 quadrants. I anticipate a lot of discomfort. I may get nitrous oxide to deal with it.

I use a Habit Tracker calendar. Since I'm in maintenance, progress = consistency. I track my food in MFP, and I track my steps with a Garmin, but everything else is in the Habit Tracker: how much sleep, quality of sleep, energy level, current weight, body fat %, blood pressure, ST workout, Yoga workout, meditation, and journaling. I journal daily, where I can review the day, and make note of what went well and why, as well as what needs improvement and next steps.

I don't think this is right. No way I gained 5 pounds in 7 days. Scale probably needs a new battery...hopefully.

@vegan4lyfe2012 It's probably just water weight or something. Also, stress can probably make the scale go up. Don't worry about that weigh-in. I'm sorry about the news about Ashley and baby Amelia, I hope everything turns out okay. I'll be thinking of you guys. Big hugs.

DISCUSSION QUESTION: How do you track your progress, and what’s been the most rewarding milestone so far?
I track my FOOD PROGRESS in a special bariatric tracking app called Baritastic. It is designed for bariatric patients' needs and is pretty good, although not perfect. I track my WEIGHT PROGRESS in two ways: I have a Renpho digital Bluetooth scale so I use that. I also found a weight-loss tracker online for Google Sheets that I use to track my weight. I also have a digital tape measure made by Renpho that I use to track my MEASUREMENTS in a sheet in my Google Sheets weight spreadsheet. My most rewarding milestone so far (since surgery) has been that I haven't had to use my cane since surgery. That's a huge NSV for me!

Hi all. I am feeling better from the cold/flu coming on, I will continue to take Zicam to fight it off. Yesterday's dental appointment was interesting: I decided to get the laughing gas (nitrous oxide) and so they gave it to me. I didn't feel like it was on/taking effect, so I told them that and they turned it up a bit. It wasn't long before I was high as a kite lol. I felt like I was very drunk. On the plus side, I didn't feel the dental work they were doing. So that was good. BUT...when they were done, they shut off the laughing gas and gave me plain oxygen for about 5 minutes. I still felt wonky after that so I paid and went and sat in my car for about 15-20 minutes. I felt nauseous until I made myself a cup of ginger tea when I was at home. It was awful. I think I just got too much of the laughing gas. The nausea is a common side effect of laughing gas. Today at work, we are going to go to lunch at a fish house for some team members' retirement party. I got permission from the dietician to eat something solid. This will be the first time I attempt to eat something solid since pre-surgery. I am going to get grilled salmon + sauteed spinach and mashed potatoes...this is what the dietician and I came up with as a good option. I won't be able to eat much of it but I can take the rest home and eat it for a couple of days.

@vegan4lyfe2012 Ohhhh my sweet friend, I feel your fear for Ashely and your sweet little Amelia. We serve a great God who can move mountains. Keep praying and clinging to Him. I will continue to pray for you and your family. <3

@trooworld I'm Glad you are feeling better. I have never had laughing gas, but I have seen some hilarious videos of people on it. :D That is exciting that you have been cleared to eat solid food. I hope it agrees with you and that you have no ill effects.

Good morning! Not much is happening today other than watching RFK’s hearing. I am so on board with getting the crap out of our food. Other countries don’t allow the kind of processed crap we put in our foods. I would love to see them change the food stamp program so parents are forced to feed their kids more healthy foods, which will do wonders for childhood obesity and illnesses. The stuff my sister and niece feed those kids is appalling, and they hate it when I point it out to them. :| But the dude has some past issues, so the hearing will be super fiery, which will be fun to watch! :) That is about it for me today. I bought some builder gel for my nails to see if I can stop picking them and get them to grow, so I plan to see what kind of mess I can make doing it myself. :D

@trooworld – Thank you. No cane? That IS awesome! Good luck with the solid food this evening. Hope it settles better than the laughing gas!

@TeresaW2024 – Thank you. I know He is mighty. Not sure if every state does this, but here in Michigan, if someone uses food stamps to purchase produce, they get a coupon for the same amount in MORE produce. I think it’s called the Double Bucks program or something like that. If that’s available there, maybe encourage your niece to take advantage? Let us know how the builder gel goes. I have been watching a lot of videos about it, but haven’t taken the plunge cuz it seems kinda messy LOLs

Hey, all. Feeling better today (mentally). After work yesterday, I went swimming with Hunter and then to the store to pick up a little produce. Settled down in my chair afterwards and fell asleep around 10pm. Can’t believe I woke up at 5:55AM! I went to bed and slept until 10. Luckily today was my remote work day, so no one is the wiser (don’t tattle on me!) I must have really need to catch up on sleep. I made myself some Just Egg and had a banana and tea for a late breakfast. Threw a couple sweet taters in the oven for Oliver and me to have for dinner later (he’s napping right now). Gonna prep my salad. Today will be a good day.

    2025 is MY year!

Sorry for the late weigh-in. It's been cold and raining off and on here, I rode my trike today, but I had to come home my nose, and eyes were watering, and my hands got cold. But it was really good short ride.
I'm working on decluttering a little bit each day, it feels good to get the junk out of the house. That is my goal for 2025 declutter as much as possible. I'm working on the laundry room and linen closet right now.
