Hello Everyone:) I am happy to be joining your group! I have been born again most of my life and I am in love with my beloved Jesus! I also have had a life long obsession with book reading, collecting books and the pursuit of knowledge...it was more fiction reading as a child but now always factual. My problem is I try to read too many books at one time...right now I'm reading
Fasting for fire-Jennifer Miskov
The menopause reset- Dr.Mindy Pelz
Power of Vision-Dr.Myles Monroe
The Mystery of Spirtual Sensitivity-Carol Brown
Intercessory Prayer-Dutch Sheets
Help! Lol...I also have add and I think that is what makes me try to read so many at one time....I'd like to hear how other bookworms decide what to read when everything seems important:) be blessed!

Hi Lynndy456. It is so good to see you here.
I read four or five books at a time, but I love missionary biographies and they are always the first thing that I listen to [through Hoopla] in the evenings. I also enjoy listening to books on holiness, like Ruth Paxon, or on prayer like Andrew Murray. I will also, sometimes, listen to the Bible when I can't download the others. There are a ton of free "classics" and most of the books by these authors are in that genre.
After I read the non-fiction, I read fiction and that is where the number comes in. I read one non-fiction at a time, but then read three or four fiction which could be Regency, fantasy, fairy tale re-tells, sci-fi, Western, Early American but not chic lit or contemporary romance, although I do like contemporary suspense. I also will not read a book if it has cuss words in it or has sexual content; I also won't read about vampires or werewolves or witches.
I am 65 years old and have been saved for many many years. I've been entirely sanctified for many years as well. Every day is a growing day, drawing closer to Jesus and deeper in my faith. Jesus is everything to me and I can't imagine my life without Him.
I hope that you will share your books and thoughts with us!
