Good morning!
Somewhere I have overdone it. It will be a rest day for me. I am very sore and very tired. Maybe it is just part of the healing process, or I overdid it. Either way it is not good.
It is cold out, and we are supposed to get more precipitation tonight. We have not had this much snow for at least 10 years now.
I did bake some cowboy cookies yesterday. Those are good! Not weight loss friendly, but good.
Have a great day!0 -
Mornin' gents.
Today would be a good day to fish the hard water, I imagine. Not that it would ever be on my agenda, but maybe for Mike.
I am working this morning, then I plan on doing some training with the girls this afternoon.
Sad day for DDIL. Her 12 yr old great dane mix has reached her expiration date. A vet that specializes in euthanasia is coming to their house in Colorado Springs this morning. DW is taking DGS out of the house when it happens.
Sounds like DMIL is back to her old tricks, Sam.
Does an empty POD have an echo?
Blood work ordered by primary was good except cholesterol was a wee high. I had run out of the 20mg generic lipitor about 3 weeks prior to blood draw and had been delinquent in refilling. 20mg once daily had been keeping the cholesterol in the happy zone. Primary strongly suggested I start taking it again, and I obeyed.
It is not even 7 AM and I am hungry. Like steak and eggs with a side order of biscuits and sausage gravy hungry. Good thing there isn't a Cracker Barrel nearby and all I have is eggs in the fridge.
Onward and downward ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
Darn you, Lee. Now I am fanaticizing about a Denney's Super Slam. I'll settle for my plain omelet and slice of dry toast.
Sorry about your DDIL's dog. That seems a long life for a Great Dane, though.
You guys can have the arctic snow. It's 41 and clear, this morning. Nice to look up at stars when I took Sassy out in the backyard. I have a cutoff slab of black walnut I want to turn into some rough-turned plates or small bowls today - is Rita doesn't have other ideas.0 -
Good morning everyone.
I try to embrace winters and did a good effort the last few years. More challenging this year, but I will not give in.
Gained a pound, I need to stop fooling me and stick to it, when will I finally figure this out.
Hang in there guys.

Good Morning
I neglected to check in yesterday in my rush to get to the house which was good since the movers arrived at 8:10 to unload the POD. They did a great job keeping stuff dry (raining on an off) and getting things in the right rooms and furniture in the right places. We figured out how to reassemble our ancient Sleep Number Bed we bought in 2008 and got it set up and made. We are feeling all this bending, twisting reaching though and are slowing down quite a bit. My back is very stiff and sore. But last nights TENS and muscle relaxer helped a a lot. Today we finish the kitchen, lining a few shelves and just keep going. New bedroom set arrives in a week too.
I agree on the Laminectomy relief. I had mine in March combined with some significant repair work of many small herniations of the disc which extended the recovery. But the relief after the surgical healing was significant, immediate and lasting. Amazing bit of outpatient surgery.0 -
Good Afternoon,
Snow still around unusual for south. Roads are melting sidewalks and steps still iced. Sun expected to appear this afternoon.
Believe we all know how to eat properly just do not have the will power.
With it being cold and icy I want to eat more. this morning fixed cheese grits homemade sausage and scrambled eggs with hoop cheese; very good just not heathy.
Sorry about DDIL's dog but I believe 12 is considered old for a Great Dane, unlike smaller dogs that may live to be 15 to 20 years. Bachelor Ing should make it easy to lose.0 -
Yup DITTO double darn ya Lee I too have to be satisfied with my veggie omelet and dry toast. HRMPH
41 degrees here but cloudy.
Yup my thoughts too about Sir Great Dane resting on his laurels in a new place at peace.
Hang in the snowyjr1. It's a marathon not a short footrace for sure as we all know.
Had to google "hoop cheese" but it sounds delicious.
Don't overdo it Steve and Bill! baby steps.
On the wetland trail I ran into another lady w a couple of guys I know who recognized me on my bike. Seems like "everyone" knows me even if I don't know them or their names as I toodle by.0
