    Good morning!

The crown yesterday was problematic. It is supposed to be easy with a dry fit, then glued in. They had to clean off glue from the temporary that didn't work. I was feeling it in the nerves. They had to give me three separate shots. Sigh.... 20 minute job turned into an hour. But, I have the permanent crown now, and it mostly fits, I think. It still feels funny. After a few days if it bothers me, then they will grind it down a little as needed.

We might hit 40 today. We need to melt some of this ice and snow we've had on the ground for a couple of weeks now.

Collin is doing well with his work. He has been there almost two months now. We are thankful. He is still on the temp payroll. He will be made a permanent employee after 90 days.

    Have a great day!

    Mornin' gents.

Great news about Collin! New crowns take some getting used to. If they can grind it to help it meet up with other teeth better, then I'm guessing it is not gold.
Back to dog training this morning...got a trial in Tennessee first week of February.
Dinner out last night. Would have rather stayed home.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

I have one gold crown, placed by an Army dentist just before I retired. He said it was a retirement present.

We'll walk again this morning, then I'll cut up another large chunk of walnut. Another member of my club has a setup he will use to core out the inside of a couple large bowl blanks, to get more bowls out of the wood. Otherwise, a lot of beautiful, and valuable, wood will just get turned to shavings.

We ate at a Japanese place near us last night. I'll have my leftovers for supper tonight. Choir tonight.

    G’ Morning…

Piano lesson this morning. Last night did reconstructive surgery on piano after I realized an improvised fix didn’t work out. Unglued new “backrail cloth” with steam iron and redid the shim I put in, replacing soft narrow felt strip with full width strip of cardboard from a picture frame mat. Keys are now more solidly resting where supposed to be.

Went for a nice hike yesterday morning in the cold (windy 16°), two miles around a pond (aka lake) here in town. Took awhile to warm ip but eventually had to delayer a bit.

    Glad to hear about Colin.

Hope Sam and DW doing okay.

    Onward and downward.

    Good Morning,
Started day with my Emmaus group.
No doctors for DW till Monday then every day next week. She is feeling better does not have another chemo till 28th.
We still have some snow on ground in yard.
Today is DW's birthday, playing it by ear as to whether taking her out for dinner or me cooking here; we have been so blessed with neighbors bringing in food past two weeks.

Attendant from personal care home call me on DMIL's phone last night, said she claims she is dying tonight; I told them she was lying she has been promising me that for over 30 years she was dying. Come to find out she had refused to eat all day, had not drank any water and refused to take her medicine.

    Good Morning

I have found that crowns take a while to feel normal. Be patient.

Yesterday started a bit chilly but climbed near 60 while we were walking along the beach. Today will a bit cooler. We hope to explore a trail that leads to a park surrounding a lake near our house. Some neighbors tell us you can go quite a while on those trails. The POD is finally gone. They came early at 7:20am to pick it up. My neighbors must be loving us. Progress has slowed with the POD taking up space and my son's car crammed into the garage with its window stuck down. But today, we will take a load to the dump, and then pull my son's car out and reorganize the garage a bit and make some room in the house while we get back at unpacking. The garage was supposed to be a staging area for us as we unpack etc but the car made it hard to move around in there. Now we can easily pull the car in and out as needed. Thankfully the new window switch arrives Monday and will go in as easily as my son's Youtube viewing indicates.
