Warming up for a couple of days, then deep freeze coming. Might get a bit of snow tomorrow. Rain this afternoon.
Chinese noodles (traditional) are not point friendly. Someone put a couple of spicey ramen type noodle packs in my Christmas stocking. I checked the points for just the noodles, 14 points. No thank you, they aren't that good.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

With my inactivity because of my rib, my weight has crept up about 5 pounds. I need to focus again on my weight, and get some exercise in.

We dropped $700 on getting some new wiring put into our house yesterday. We had a broken "hot" wire on one circuit so they had to rewire it. It took them over an hour just to find out what the problem was. They didn't find where the break was. It is suspected it happened either when we had new insulation put in the attic, or when we had the roof repaired after the hail storm last year. Always something it seems.

Not much going on today. Football this afternoon.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

Yeah, Steve, it's always something. This is the first house we have lived in long enough for things to wear out.

Lots of cold weather coming for most of the country, it seems. Of course, our cold - lows in the 20s - is not like Midwest cold - minus-20s.

Third grade concert was great, last night. Couldn't believe how much the music teacher got a bunch of 8-year-olds to do.

DS lost his wife and kids for the weekend. They are off to the Oregon Coast. David is spending the day in the Olympic Mountains scouting a route for later skiing - crampons and ice ax today. He's coming over for supper, later. I'll make a pot of chili and bake some corn bread.

    Good Morning

Chilly Mornings continue, but then the temp settles back just north of 50 and all is well. We got out for an exploratory hike yesterday in the woods & dunes by the house. I turned back at 20 min to make sure I could make it back with an issue (back spasm). Heather and Pat went on and ended up in a gated community where I rescued them at the gate 40 min later. That was a good walk for me for 40 min without any serious problems. Bit by bit there is improvement. We will be walking somewhere today. Heather felt strongly she deserved a scoop of ice cream from the local place. I held firm till I saw the Bing Cherry, a favorite as a kid. I caved, but I tracked it. Weeklies reset today thankfully. I still have a few significant health things to resolve when I finally get to the Urologist. But the increase in activity is beginning to reduce the stiffness and other aches. But I was pretty tired yesterday afterward. That, I imagine, will improve if I persevere. I remember the 3rd week of training to run a 5K and I thought as I bent over gasping "surely I will die, I can't do this". But I kept going and in the next 6 mos I finished a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and then the full. On thing about being in the 70's you have a wealth of experiences to draw from to get through seemingly tough times.

Amen Bill. I have run two marathons but honestly 1/2 marathon was more "fun". Probably didn't train enough for the full monty marathon. All those experiences do indeed help us thru tough times.
Must have been a delight Dave seeing what the young 3rd graders could do musically.
frosty this a.m. but ok with low tire pressures on my bike and riding in a straight line over a cou0ple of frosty bridges.

Took DD out for a B-day dinner last night. I am sure I ate too much but onward and downward today.

Wet day here today but upper 50's, tomorrow will be dryer but temps dropping all day.
Joanne is doing much better, drove to see DMIL who turned 97 today about 6 miles, I stayed away since she had lied to me again and did not die Wednesday night as she had claimed she was and upset most of family. DD came out to take DMIL to lunch and DS and DDIL will take her supper tonight. Tomorrow DSIL will come visit her along with DN.
Snow forecasted for Tuesday and Friday coming week, Wednesday is only day DW does not have a doctor appointment.
We usually go out and eat every Saturday night, DW has learned not to eat spicy or greasy food so more than likely I'll fix supper tonight.
    Planning on church in morning.
