Winter storm coming...rain tonight, snow tomorrow.
Gotta get the sno-thrower on my tractor today. Tractor has been in the shop. 2002 model...needed new head gasket. Still runs like a deere.
Some good football this weekend. Might have to actually sit still long enough to watch a game.

Had a nice visit out last night with a couple we used to ride HDs all over with. Trying to reconnect a bit. We double dated in Dec. And vowed to gtg once a month. I had soup and a side salad. Ehh.Was just ok. My soups better.

Dh says he's selling his HD this spring for a UTV and buying a new pickup. His retirement is planned for May 2026. We'll see how the market goes between now and then.
After a 50F day at one point yesterday, we are nose diving back into single digits. Still no snow.
Got my exercises in this morning, and a veggie egg scramble. Strong hot coffee, of course.
Going to go into myboffice and sort some books and find one to start...

Ron must have drunk more than his share of the coffee...I only had 1.5 cups today. Good thing we are in the coffee growing region, I can get a great cup anywhere here. Plus i stayed up way too late watching TV. Gonna be a long day.0 -

DS is a bachelor for the weekend - DDIL and kids are off to the Oregon Coast. He's coming over for supper. I am making a pot of chili and baking corn bread.
I need to get rid of a lot of books in my study. Back in the day I used to sign up for Time-Life book series. They were great, then, but I don't re-read them anymore. Anyone want a 15-volume history of flight? The goal is to get to where I have actual open spots on shelves where I can put small turned pieces. Then there is the "I love me" wall. It is covered with mementoes from my time in the Army and as a Civil Servant. I don't need to look at my retirement certificate or a framed photo of the Fort Lewis historic gate. I am thinking I'd like a display of antique woodworking tools more. Going to be a long-term project, I suspect.1 -

- Nice motorbike ride to Heavy's BBQ yesterday. They had a roaring fire in the fireplace which was nice.
- The bike is going to be in the garage for the next couple of weeks as the polar vertex visits our area.
- Looks like it is going to be a cold, windy game in DC tonight.

Good morning.
Dog has been walked and made his presence known throughout the neighborhood. I stayed in bed just long enough to not go to the synagogue.
Our cold comes in tonight, but the wind is already here. They're thinking snow on Tuesday. Snow probably being a relative term, but one of the school districts has already canceled classes - they announced it Thursday night. 🙄
May watch football tomorrow since I don't think we'll do an all-day outing to burn off dog.energy in 20-ish weather.0 -

Raining this morning, so did not take Pablo out till after 10, upper 50's today, rain predicted back later this afternoon.
Fair tomorrow with temps dropping cold all week.
Joanne doing better today, she went to see DMIL since today is her 97th birthday, I stayed and walked Pablo. After DMIL had lied to us earlier in week did not want to be nice; she called us and most of family claiming she was dying Wednesday night, once again false promises. DMIL and lady in adjoining room are trying to see which can pass first, Glenda is 101, much nicer and still volunteers one day week at clothes closet.
Leo is just trying to make younger.
