We got 5” of snow according to my smartphone, 3” by what I see outside. Not snowshoeing material but maybe XC-skiing.

Yesterday before it started snowing DD called and we went to get water from a natural spring in the woods she likes to visit, and afterwards we hiked around a pond—about two miles. Halfway around the snow started, lightly drifting down through the pines, and as we hiked it snowed more and more. Really beautiful. DD’s finally getting used to the winter, and beginning to like it.

14° and feels like zero. I’ll probably stay in and work on my piano today. It’s taking up the entire livingroom turned onto its back. Cleaning the rust & tarnish off 220 tuning pins will take awhile.

Will at least get out for a walk this afternoon.

    Onward and downward

    Mornin' gents.

12° and 5 inches here. Gotta get out and start moving it soon. Got the snowthrower on the tractor just in time. Even remembered to put the chains on the back tires.
Actually watched a wee bit of football yesterday. Both games were in the snow. Classic.

    Onward an downward ;-)

    Good morning!

No fresh snow here, but still snow on the ground from our big snow a couple of weeks ago. Zero degrees this morning. Too cold! Two more days of this bitter cold.

Lots of chores and fun things to do today. Yuck.

    Prayers continue for Joanne.

    The piano work sounds amazing.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

The coring of walnut blanks didn't go as well as I hoped, yesterday. The guy who did it was generous with his time, but didn't really know what he was doing. The cores he took were not nearly deep enough, so I need to do a lot of additional turning on the bowls and the cores he cut out are too small to make bowls out of. A couple small plates, I guess. I thanked him with a smile, anyway.

It's 25 degrees here and will be a sunny 41 this afternoon. Sassy is whining to go outside, so I'll cut this off. Have a great - warm - day.

    Good Morning

I don't do snow, but now I do frost again which is close enough. Someday we will once again drive to the snow for a visit. I noticed a neighbor we met last week, came by and mowed my front lawn. She offered since I don't have a lawn mower and intend to sheet mulch the lawn soon. I didn't think she was actually serious. I ended up taking it easy do to the flare up of my digestive system yesterday, so no walking. We did install the new mirror and light fixture we purchased for the house finally.

Today our bedroom furniture gets delivered this afternoon, so the boxes of all of our clothing that are stacked in the bedroom had to be moved into the closet and we will dismantle our sleep number bed again and lean the mattress against the patio door until the bed is set up. Then we can get to unpacking our clothing. Its been 3 1/2 months we have been living out of suitcases of clothes, etc. Gut is still wonky, but settling down. I have to do grocery shopping today and if still functioning will try and get a walk in. But I was pretty wiped out by it yesterday afternoon.
