My trip to Tennessee was a bit of a bust. My competitive nature was trampled into humility. Although I did make some great connections and enjoyed seeing old friends, a part of me feels like it was a waste of time, energy, and money because we walked away without a placement.
M spent the night in Missouri, back on the road this am, she is shooting for Akron OH for tonight, then home tomorrow.
Hope Joanne is feeling less fatigued today.
It imagine it is good to see the family there, Bill, in spite of the circumstances.
Onward and downward ;-)

Mornin'
Bill, my prayers go up for you and the family.
Bible study this morning.
Doing some planning for the dogsled race in 2-1/2 weeks. Current forecast shows night temps 10 and 15 below for Fort Kent. And it's a 7-1/2 hour drive if I never stop (I sometimes have to stop once hour... an old man thing.) Wondering what I've gotten myself into. Maybe it'll rain or they'll have a heat wave and cancel. Or maybe it will be great fun.

Good morning!
Well, $454 later, we have two new faucets for the washing machine. They are coming after 1:00 this afternoon to hook up the new machine and take out the old machine.
Bill, continued prayers for you and for your family.
Lee, too bad that your trip was somewhat a bust.
We are expecting 6-10 inches of snow starting after midnight tonight. Oh joy!
I have a few errands to do this morning in advance of the storm (pharmacy, and house cleaning supplies.)
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
It's good to have some fit younger people around. I bought a large, very heavy, tool cabinet yesterday. It took a forklift and four large men to put it in my truck at Lowe's. DS and DDIL unloaded it and maneuvered it into my shop. I could never have managed by myself. I spent half the day, yesterday really cleaning that end of the shop. Took out two 5-gallon buckets full of dust and cobwebs. I have a bit of final assembly to do today and to dispose of the massive box and packing materials the cabinet came in. Then I have to figure out how and where to put everything away, to take advantage of the new drawers.
The technician from Lay-Z-Boy will be back this morning - for the third time - to attempt to repair loose upholstery on one of the two recliners we bought in September. A box of parts arrived Friday. I don't know whether to be amused or ticked off by all of this.
Turning club meeting tonight.
Have a good Tuesday, guys.0 -
Good Morning,
Prayers for Bill and family
Safe travels for Mary
Steve and Mike please keep snow up there0 -
Good Morning
Steve I feel your pain on the faucets. I had to do the same when our washer died while we were getting the house ready. Ridiculous charge for the job in my opinion.
Sorry the trip was a disappointment Lee. Prayers for Mary as she tries to stay ahead of the snow.
Pretty good day yesterday cleaning out Mom's. We go back for the bulky/fragile stuff. Movers will come to get the furniture, and ambulatory devices. It was a bit hard on my Sister though as we quickly bagged and sorted through things. With the totally unacceptable snow coming in tonight and tomorrow, it looks like none of us will be leaving before Thursday. I have enjoyed being together with everyone, but you put that many New Yorkers in one room and it gets noisy and loud. This man of solitude and quiet got his nerves got a bit fried last night.
Sam, Joanne remains in my prayers. My the fever and what ever is causing it pass quickly and take the cancer with it.

Sorry about your results Lee. Happens. Yup hoping that Mary stays mostly ahead of the snow.
Yes prayers for Joanne and Sam. Sickness and cancer indeed be gone or at least at bay.
Yeah I get you Bill and the solitude thing. the Super Bowl affair next door was waay to busy and I ate too much. I was mostly rooting for the Chiefs because of some friends but really wanted a decent game. Unfortunately only Philly really showed up. A big congrats for them.
True if Philadelphia was my team I might have enjoyed every minute.
We could possibly get a couple of inches of snow on Thursday which shuts things down where I live near PDX. My local streets are never ever plowed for example. It could get down to 19 degrees tomorrow morning. Cold anyway for us and with some icy wind to boot.
Ha nice icy ride this a.m. in the low 20s with some wind. Many layers , a balaclava and knit cap atop that too.
Cheers and stay warm.0
