    Good morning!

Mike, you had quite the adventure with your drive.

We are expecting almost 50 today for a temp. After not being above freezing for more than a week, it seems like summer is here.

Today is Sunday rest day. I don't have much planned for today.

It had been too cold to use the hot tub, so I plan to do that this morning early. It was 23 when I got up which is higher than a lot of the daily highs last week. I'll go down there if it is 20 or more. The hot tub really helps with joint aches, and it also does wonders for my soul.

    Have a great day!

Hot tub sounds good. My hands hurt when I pick up my large diam. water bottle and my coffee flask, especially the thumb joint. Worse I think in cold weather. Doc suggested hot wax hand bath. So cold these days there's an icicle hanging off my balcony roof approaching 3 feet long. Time for spring. I envy Dave with the spring peepers already singing. Like music to me when I hear those.

The first AMC canoe trip of the season is usually 3rd weekend in March, this year it's April 5. Lots of ice on the rivers and ponds (yes, and lakes).

Got in a long walk on snowmobile paths late yesterday. Was dark when I got back to my car.

Church this morning. Then start organizing for my trip up north. I read that the Can-Am race qualifies you for next year's Iditarod. Heard Maine got 30" of snow this last storm. Tinkering with my new Chinese hand held ham radio, tiny buttons, tiny print, but seems very well built and seems to work well, for $20... I guess we can thank Richard Nixon for opening trade with China, for better or worse. Lee, he's not president anymore.

    Good morning gentlemen.

It's just wet, out here. Bill, Bob and I are in the sights of an atmospheric river - lots of rain and warmer temperatures even up in the mountains. Rising rivers have given us the first flood watches I have seen this year. The usual rivers will be over their banks.

My hands are a problem, too. My left gets pretty painful at times. Ibuprofen helps. My arthritis doesn't seem to be much affected by the weather. It can hurt just as much in August as in February. Lucky me.

    Been churched,
DW was feeling better but going to church worn her out.
I've got plenty of pain meds to mask arthritis mostly rather live with pain than deal with weight added caused by taking pain meds.

    Good Morning

Good to hear Joanne was able to get out to church, though I am sorry it wiped her out. Sounds like her respiration has improved.

Sounds like quite an adventure getting home Mike. And now you head to the dog races. I have mostly acclimated to my arthritis now that I have been off Meloxicam for almost a month now. I just take some Tylenol ER when it bugs me. My siblings and I inherited Mom's bad arthritis so you just have to roll with it. My brother and I used to give Mom a hard time about the crap DNA we got in this regard. Yesterday's rain fell well short of what was forecast. I got out to walk when it started and headed back after 15 min when it started to increase, but it never really came on till late in the evening. Today it seems to be trying to make up for it. I tightened up after my walk and a couple hours working at the dining table sorting through papers. I dug our my TENS which did a great job of resolving it. I need to remember to use it when I over do it. A piercing headache has laid me low a bit this morning. I have never had migraines but maybe I have one now. One errand to run for dinner when there is a lull in the weather. Thankfully it is not cold anymore.
