Not much sleep. Way too much vitriol going on. Last nights message was disparaging.
Racing in ATL today. Hope the hometown boy from Dawsonville does well.
    Coffee. Car wash.
    Doc - how you feeling?

    Cheers

    Good morning BBB friends.

I feel for all federal employees, Skip.

Took a few hours yesterday to do our taxes. At least Washington has no state or local income taxes, so I didn't have to deal with that. We ended up owing a little, but not bad. Rita's major jackpot last summer, means we have to pay three times as much in quarterly estimated tax this year, though. Unless we hit it big again, we'll probably get a refund next year.

Lots of rain out here. We have the first flood watch of the year. Sadly, too, the 60s on the long-range weather forecast have changed to 50s.

    Good morning

Cough cough Sniffle... I could feel worse so I'll not complain.

I'm catching up on the last couple All Creatures Great and Small episodes I've missed, while dh sleeps in. Do our BBB vets watch this one?

My lipid panel results from Friday posted and my numbers have improved nicely since July. My irl wl dr appt is this Friday.

I may zoom into the 9am lake area church service but find the sermon and service pretty boring. I need to check out something else

Hope you all have a great day!

    Good morning.

We've been peed and pooped and now I'm drinking coffee while he inspects the area that formerly housed his nuts. I hear strirrings from the bedroom, so he'll ditch me soon enough.

    Been Churched,
Joanne wanted to get out, tired of doctors, hospitals and sitting in house; she was worn out when we got home.
I'm not as adventuresome as Skip; reckon worked in auto industry too long. Love new whip Skip!
I ended up with a used Audi A5 quattro cabriolet, love the way it handles and drives, need to get it detailed; had not even been cleaned up.
Yesterday was a long day with going to west side of Atlanta to get car, then making cakes for event they had at lodge last night then preparing supper for family including DMIL, DD, DSIL and DGS.
    Happy belated Anniversary to Stones!
Pablo really loves Doggie Daycare, but last time he came home very dirty.
    Get feeling better Mary!
DW does not like rough seas on cruise.

    Good Sunday afternoon BBB Friends.
    • I've been churched and schooled. I didn't have to do AV so I got to sit with the peeps.
    • Glad to hear Joanne got out. Chemo ain't no fun but it works.
    • Get well Mary.
    • I concur with the encouragement for the hometown boy from Dawsonville. The weather should be better than Daytona last week.
    • Congrats to Skip and Sam on their new whips. I hadn't heard that term before Skip used it. I had to look it up and now I know why.

“Whip” is a slang term for a fancy or luxury car, and is commonly used by Gen Z. The term originated from the early automobile era, when the steering wheel was called a whip.

Sea has been very rough from the wee hours. Ron hasn't left the room. I've been to calligraphy and watercolor lessons and a coooking demo plus hit up all the shops. I need to replace the scarf I lost but while I liked the prices didn't see one to get.

Now back to the room for a rest before the evening activities start. They canceled the dancing show tonight for safety reasons with more rough seas ahead.
