7 days post op: Mobility and range of motion is good. Limited ability to stand for any period of time. My knee also starts aching when I sit for more than 30 minutes.
I was within the home PT parameters that had been set when I felt like I overdid it. I am supposed to do my home PT 2-3 times a day. Sunday I did it 3 times and tried to decrease pain medication and icing at the same time. Yesterday I just did my home PT twice and keep ice on the knee all day and went back to original dosing of tramadol and tylenol (I was cautioned about going over 3000mg/day and I was doing almost 4000mg/day) and gabapentin. I only took the dilaudid once. I would really like to stop the tramadol at night, it is screwing with my sleep, but right now, it is better to control the pain.
I do appreciate the cautions. I certainly want to be one and done. Any kind of revision would be catastrophic.
The toughest thing is I am SO BORED. I am constantly harassing my team at work about stuff.
Binge watching TV series and reading/listening to books distracts me to a point.
PT lady coming this morning and I will report back.

Lee, I have heard in the past that doctors make the worst patients. Just sayin..... I am so glad that you are starting to do better with your knee. Prayers of rapid and complete healing continue.
Sam, you and Joanne have a busy week with doctors. Prayers continue for you two as well.
Bill, I hope that you are feeling better today. Stay dry! It sounds very wet out there. I know/hope that we will eventually see some of that, just not in the form of snow or ice! We are in a stretch of nice weather now, and that just takes us close to spring.
I think that I have overdone it a bit in the last day or two. My rib is hurting this morning again.
Lots of chores were completed yesterday, and I have a lot that I'd like to get done today. Connie's birthday is Thursday, and I still have a little shopping to get done today.

Good morning gentlemen.
Stormy morning. Lots of rain and wind. I'll put some more finish on a couple salvage bowls I have been working on. I say salvage because they are both pieces of wood most would have thrown on the burn pile, with lots of cracks or punky areas. Kind of fun to see what I can make of them.
Hope the patients are all doing well today and this week.

Lee, be careful. You can't overdo icing and elevation to keep swelling and inflammation down to allow the leg to heal.
The rain has moved on and the wind is calming. It is Tuesday so we are off to the Bogart Festival for "The Caine Mutiny" this afternoon. I tracked down my missing 1099's yesterday at last. Today I am doing some writing for the my novitiate work and some grocery shopping. I made Cinnamon Apple Buttermilk Pancakes and sausage for dinner last night after tweaking my pancake recipe a bit. Happy, happy wife and son. I had one too many, but at least I don't use syrup.0 -
Had the BIGGEST gully washer downpour ever in my decades of Oregon residency. Follwed later by lightning thunder heavy rain and wind gusts up to 50 mph which took out the power around 4 pm. We expected the outage to last til noon Tuesday but got it back around midnight. Tens of thousands of folks did lose power in Oregon. I got some dry ice which I threw into the freezing section of our frig/freezer unit. Had problems with one wonky GFCI outlet which connects to my router hence TV, internet and one bathroom outlets too. Miraculously got it working a bit this a.m early but need it replaced pronto.
Things are much calmer today
Hang in there Lee. I had an out of body experience with dilaudid after I had back surgery fusing 4 vertebrae.
