Good morning!
Mike, your adventure just sounds awesome. As we are thinking about the start of spring, it is hard for me to imagine what you are describing. I only understand a little as we were subarctic ourselves just over a week ago.
Today, however, it is supposed to approach 60 with 70 promised for tomorrow. I plan to get out for a mini-hike with my camera.
Have a great day!0 -
Hope Rita's CT went OK. I know you won't get results for a few days. Hope it rules out any potential bad stuff.
Mike, that sounds really remote and cold. You haven't talked about your HAM radio chops in a long time. What a great application for your talent.
So interesting, your descriptions of your new area/community, Bill. It certainly sounds like you guys are settling in and enjoying yourselves.
I am still a bit anxious about my transposition to Colorado. We are going to need to build a pole barn with a heated room for my man cave since there is no option for a space for me and the girls in the house. It will also need to include a couple of horse stalls, this may be my big selling point to M. When we were house hunting, there was a place that had something similar that went off the market before we could make an offer. M will not like the cost of the build I think we need, but it will be less than the difference of the house with the barn we missed making an offer on.
Knee continues to progress.
Time for PT.
Onward and downward ;-)

Good morning gentlemen.
Rita had a rough time with the CT scan. She has small veins, and they had trouble getting the IV in place for the contrast. She had to suffer through a half hour of people shoving needles into her arm in an attempt to pierce a vein. Last night, her arm was swollen and getting black and blue, where they poked her. We did get Sassy washed, dried and combed in the afternoon.
Hope Mike enjoyed his check-point duty.
Stand firm on the pole barn, Lee. A man needs his space.
I made a pot of corn chowder for supper last night. It was really good. I need to do that more often.0 -
Been churched, Widow Son's (motorcycle group) meeting this afternoon.
Do not know if Joanne just not feeling well, or partly depression; Thursday pulmonologist got approval for portable oxygen generator that we were told could get for 90 days or display permanent need. Friday kidney doctor explained medicine causing high blood pressure and blood sugar levels were damaging kidneys.
I agree a pole barn with heated space is required!
I have small veins that roll and am a very hard stick, my thing is get an experienced nurse in here that does not have to wiggle needle around or stick five or six times.
Mike, hope you are having a great time.
Trees and flowers are blooming, but it feels cold today. Should be back to seventy Tuesday.

Good Morning
I had to google pole barn. I assume the horse stalls are the sweetner for her approval?
Sam, I can't imagine what Laurie are and you are going through. This new "by the way" the medicine is bad for your kidneys is a bit much. I hope the Dr was able to adequately explain it all to you. I fired a Dr once who blew off my concerns about that with a kinda "nothing to worry about or discuss" approach. I will pray protection over your hearts and mind to keep you strong and positive in the midst of your battles. Do we assume your shoulder replacement is on hold for now?
I overdid it yesterday moving boxes and shifting things around. I moved things a bit too quickly and carelessly I presume. Back was quite achy and I aggravated my neck again. It shut me down till I had to get going on dinner. I seem to have recovered today. I made my first Cottage Pie. It was very tasty, filling and not point friendly. But it is a keeper. We will make smaller casseroles and freeze them and start dinner with a decent salad to avoid overdoing it as we all did last night. I made a few rookie mistakes dispite my reading, but it was very tasty. I gotta get the tax stuff done today I didn't do yesterday due to my aches and pains and general grumpiness.0
