"Lee, you are making me nervous."

LOL, I wish I had a nickel for every time someone has said that to me. I am pretty careful, actually. Especially compared to some of the guys I hunt and fish with. I will say that I have a propensity to bounce when I go down. When you have size 14 flippers for feet, you are easily tripped up.

Today, more purging of stuff that we have stored and never used. Much of it is junk, some of it is memorabilia.

Hope you and Heather had a nice evening and the drive home wasn't too anxiety ridden.

LOVE the story about the casket for a coffee table. I plan on getting cremated, but I understand you have to still purchase a plain pine box.

My Lucy blows through the invisible fencing I installed over 20 years ago. It still works, Babe respects it, but not Miss Naughty Pants. She loves to be nosy with what is going on with neighbors. I have to pen her up when I am not directly supervising her shenanigans. I wonder is Pablo has some beagle in him. Beagles are notorious or infamous for being able to scale or circumvent fences.

I forgot to pack a lunch yesterday, so I wound up snacking on crap laying around the practice. Too many of my coworkers are sugar fiends.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

Lee, I'm glad that you are doing better enough that when you have a scary trip/fall that you are OK. I've had a couple of experiences like that with my rib, and I know how careful you are trying to be. Frankie has no collar, but she knows exactly where the property lines are and she respects them. I'm thankful.

The storm with the dust from Texas and Oklahoma are moving on.

I found five little ticks on me yesterday. I know that Spring is here now for sure. The trees are starting to bud out. Our Magnolia is trying to flower already. Sweet! I am also starting to see leaves on my blueberries and blackberries, but not on my roses.

One door is finished now. It looks nice. Two more to go. I know now what to do to help speed up the process.

I still have not started my taxes.

I see nothing wrong with turning your own urn, especially when done by a master craftsman artist.

I'm hoping to get my solar panels set up today, along with several chores. Of course, that could change when SWMBO decides that she wants to go somewhere or do something.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

The four days of heavy rain Bill described are here. It's coming down steadily. A good day to stay home.

I'm not too happy with how that urn is looking. It is from a piece of wood with very little character. I was planning to use a threaded bronze insert to attach the lid, but those things are kind of expensive, so I might save it for a prettier effort. I still have a lot of cherry and walnut logs. I'll finish this one with a friction fit lid.

DS came over yesterday to borrow our CRV for the weekend. He is skiing at one ski area, while DDIL and the grandkids are skiing at another. There is heavy snow forecast for the mountains today, so he needed all-wheel drive. He is used to the Honda, so he didn't want to borrow my Tacoma.

OMG Lee no need for us to tell ya to be more careful 'cuz ya already know that. So glad it wasn't worse.

Oh Steve glad you found the ticks.

Got out for an early ride which was dry for the first 1/2 or so and rainy the last entire 1/3 of the ride anyway.

going to be very wet today and the next few.

Probably could mix my ashes with dinosaur bones in the Gobi Desert

    Cheers

    Good Morning

We had a wonderful evening in Eugene. Rain didn't really ramp up till we were over there at 5pm and had a less than mediocre dinner. We had a coffee as the rain started. Made a wrong turn to the bookstore which was 2-3 blocks away. Only took 10-15 minutes! The concert in the old bookstore was wonderful. Woody Guthrie/Pete Seeger type folk music from a couple of popular Canadian troubadours. The rain really ramped up during the show. Thankfully the drive home was not bad since most people stayed off the road. But 90 minutes of steady concentration due to the visibility. More rain now.

My wife talked to my son who is with us. His business is not growing and has shrunk a bit which makes rent paying risky. We are reorganizing the house around him being here a bit longer till he can grow it back and get some momentum. He's been pitching for new clients and increasing his visibility, but not scoring since this moving stuff ramped up. At least we can stop this temporary status for know. Downside is we won't have any guest rooms since he is in one and the other is my prayer/study/music room which we will add a table to and set up an office space for us.
