    Good morning!

I finally got the solar kit installed yesterday. I bought that thing maybe five years ago? I now have electricity in my Tuff Shed. I want to repair tools/equipment out there, rather than in the garage. Now there is also hope of somewhat of a man cave? Solar power is cool to me, and I just wanted to see what this would be like. I am very pleased.

Today is a much needed Sunday rest day. Perhaps I'll get my camera out.

Prayers continue for Sam, Joanne, Lee, and others in our group facing physical challenges.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

I went out and bought some fishing stuff yesterday: new line, some lures, etc. As early spring goes on, I am getting the urge to wet a line.

Sorry your son is having challenges with his work, Bill. Hope it picks up.

Church this morning, then running some errands.

    Morning gents…

Very foggy this morning. My dad used to tell me “it’s so foggy you can’t see your hand in front of your face without opening your eyes.” Supposed to rain a lot later and tonight.

DGD turns 3 today. There’s a party at one of those kids party venues. Might bring my earplugs…

Hiked yesterday, started along a steep hilly trail that turned out too icy and had to turn back; drove to another trail nearby and that was only muddy in places. Came out at a pond (mike long lake) still covered in ice. Nice day for it—62° and sunny. Spring is in the air but it will be awhile before things green up.

I need to plan my days better so I don’t get tempted with food or diverted from tasks I need to get done.

Sam, good luck with all the health issues you and your family are going through. And likewise to the rest of us here.

    Onward and downward

    Mornin' gents.

Just finished in home PT that I am supposed to do twice a day between seeing the pro PT guy. MOTHER *******. I have never been so glad to lie down with an ice pack on my knee. Assisted knee extensions with a weight on top of my knee and then assisted knee flexion with a strap trying to bring my heel to my tush created some serious grimacing. The pro PT guy doesn't hurt me near as much.

Does the solar kit come with a battery? If not, does that mean no electricity at night or bad weather?

    Pretty foggy here too.

I think Bill Gates and Steve Jobs spend a couple of years working in the basement or garage. Hoping it happens for your DS as well, Bill. Let me know when his company goes public.

DW is keeping me on the straight and narrow food wise. Without her, I find myself fudging portions and partaking of too much high fat foods. She is a force to be reckoned with, so much so that I sometimes I forget that she still likes to feel taken care of and has her own needs. I am working on that this week before she heads back to Colorado.

    Onward and downward ;-)

Lee, I have a 12v 100 Ah battery hooked up to the system. I also have a 1000w inverter giving me 800w of effective electricity. Once the battery is fully charged, the controller will shut off. The whole thing is scalable. I can add additional solar panels, additional batteries, and/or a larger inverter. If I had it to do over again, I would have purchased a 2500w inverter so that I could plug in a space heater. Look up Renogy.com if you are more curious.

    Good Afternoon

Late check in. My stomach has been acting up, but hopefully is the beginning of a good stretch. Heather went back to bed with some stomach issues today, so perhaps it is a bug for a change and not post radiation issues for me. I had a chat with my son and told him to settle into the office and we all need to shift the house out of temporary living mode since he will be with us a bit longer than planned. He has savings for emergencies but he and we would prefer he not use to for monthly rent etc. We see him working at networking etc. We had our first power outage last night with the storm. I patted myself on the back for plugging in a couple LED safety nightlight/flashlights in the hallways. It didn't last long. But it did screw up our cadet heaters. The thermostats don't have battery backup so we had to reset them all. We continue to learn about this stuff. Not much planned since the rain returns this afternoon. There's stew in the crockpot for tonight. I should have gotten a bottle of Guiness to add to the pot for St Patricks.
