Rise n shine.
Hope Sam is doing okay with his new shoulder. And meanwhile a lot else on his plate.
Lee, how did your knee visit go? Are you cleared for takeoff?
Rained overnight and there was snow in the forecast, but don't see any. Supposed to get up to 60º today. This Saturday is a group canoe trip on the Sevenmile River, about half hour away. Weather looks cr@ppy—40's and rain after noon. Yuck.
Worked on piano last night; found an easier way to regulate the dampers. Book tells you to stand on one leg, tap the pedal with the other foot while leaning over to watch the dampers, to see which ones lift early or late. Adjust those by bending the stiff wires holding the damper head. Sheer torture and after five minutes I have cramps and need a break. Instead, I pushed a wedge between the pedal and frame and ran a guitar pick across the strings to see which ones are quiet and which ring out. Standing upright on two legs. Way easier…
Piano class again today. Heard there may be a sub teacher, husband of one of the council on aging board members I think. Teacher is still in rehab apparently and will be for awhile.
Working on eating a bit less and only at mealtimes. Avoiding sweets is difficult; Bible study group on Tuesday celebrated 90th birthday of one of our members… with two cakes.
Onward and downward…

Good morning!
Mike, amazing work with the piano. The results must make you so very happy.
I did not feel well yesterday. I also didn't get posted here. I think that I am better this morning, but I plan to take it easy today.
Prayers of healing and support for Sam, Joanne, Lee. Prayers also for all of you men who are facing various health challenges.
Have a great day!

Good morning gentlemen.
Should be a pretty nice day, out here. It will be a shirtsleeves and shorts walk with Sassy.
Yesterday, I finished a small vase turned from a really rough scrap of madrone. Pretty grain and a pleasing form. Satisfying.
I have jumped back into weight-loss mode. In January I was down to 164 lbs. and Monday I hit 178. I get complacent and let things go too long. Back on the horse.

Good Morning
It was a beautiful day yesterday, cool but sunny. We headed out to drop off things we don’t need but it took time as we visited multiple thrifts etc. Headed to old town for lunch and a stroll. I’ve been feeling pretty run down lately so I’m trying to increase my daily activity as we push to finish up the house stuff. I forgot yesterday was a movie day. I saw a recorded live stage production of Dr Strangelove. It translated quite well to the stage. I need to rewatch the movie now. Back out to the garage today to empty some boxes. Then we can reorgnize the house.

Mornin' gents
Doc gave me a thumb's up but wants to recheck in another 6 weeks. Early PT this am. Got another thumb's up from PT guy, who is actually a Doc too, a PhD Doc.
We knew you'd find a way to fix the unfixable on your piano, Mike. I can imagine the bright melodies it will produce when you are done.
Our handyman is here today. The young fella does good work.
Wow, Dave, I'm surprised that happened to your weight. You are super active. Good job getting back on plan.
Onward and downward ;-)
