So Bob, that is my new plan when I decide I need to speed things along when it comes time. A trip over Willamette falls in an open kayak. I wonder if that guy was under the influence of something, or just had a death wish.

I wonder if there is some political agenda with your neighbor's deportation. The new doctor, who is fabulous BTW, is married to a Canadian whose friends got banned from travel to the US for 4 years because the border guards didn't like their answers to "routine" questions. Evidently, routine questions include "how do you feel about the current US administration", and being rowdy Canadians they gave smart alecky answers about how they were headed to DC for probable mischief.

Interestingly enough, my fishing buddy, never experienced symptoms of GERD, the lesion was found on a routine colonoscopy and endoscopy. Stage 3. Very concerning.

First night on 5mg of melatonin and I scored a much better night of sleep. Not perfect, but markedly better.

    When is Joanne's surgery, Sam?

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning!

Thunder and lightening and a big, tough dog shivering next to my chair. It is a fast moving storm. We are expecting off/on rain through Sunday.

I itch all over from these dang ticks. I have no less than 20 bites trying to heal. I think I still have one tick on my shoulder blade. I can't see it. I am using Cutter's every time I go out. I don't know if it is helping. I have some granular tick repellent to spread on my lawn. I will do that Saturday, as Easter Sunday is our "big" rain day. This treatment has to be watered into the ground. This is cheaper than Orkin. As I was typing this, my stomach itched, and I pulled another one off me. They are little, and easy to pull off with tweezers. I have a multi-blade knife in my pocket that includes tweezers.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning,

So glad we do not have tick infestations like that down here, though we do have ticks and I have been bit, had to do series of antibiotics years ago because of tick.

Joanne's surgery is scheduled for May 9th, believe she has 7 appointments leading up to surgery.

70's today then 80's for a few days, summer is coming too early.

I was thinking if I could get someone to plow garden I could possibly plant, DW overheard, so no will leave that alone. Have several more weeks not supposed to bend or stope over.

    Physical torture this afternoon.

Thanks for letting me know oxycodone messes with sleep, that explains my lack of nightly sleep; how long does it effect after having stopped taking?

    Good morning gentlemen.

For all the time I have spent out in the brush over the years, I have never had a tick bite. Knock on wood. Since they have oral medication for dogs to repel ticks (Sassy is on one), I wonder why there isn't one for humans.

Spent a couple hours at the orchestra concert for 5th grade through high school, last night. Since out only real interest was in our 5th grade granddaughter, the performance was kind of a slog. But she was really happy, and we went out for ice cream afterwards.

Our beautiful weather continues, with sunny and 70 today.

Lee I think the guy had zero clue about what he was doing venturing anywhere near the falls.

Glad the melatonin seems to be helping.

So sorry about your friends esophageal cancer that happened without an obvious clue. Prayers indeed for him and his family.

Yeah we have some dear friends and I believe the husband may have dual citizenship with both the US and Canada. I hope they don't have issues traveling.

Oh Steve yikes about all those tick bites!! Just read that Tarsus Pharmaceuticals is developing a pill for humans that could work like the dog medication. Early clinical trials are promising.

I have had some success with clothing in minimizing ticks. I have worn Bugoff treated clothing that additionally had stretch bands at the bottom of the legs to prevent critters crawling up the ankles and legs. Combined that with treated shirt and socks.

I also used the 24 hour extended DEET. I got zero mosquito bites from malaria ridden mosquitos in Madagascar using this approach.

Oh and mosquito netting around the beds at night too.

    Cheers all.

    Good Morning

I have never really had to contend with ticks and hope it stays that way. You make it sound like something special.

I have a friend in Canada traveling around the US SW visiting National Parks. They had many concerns after some incidents from fellow Canadians. Another changed her travel to England with a stopover in NY to avoid the US altogether. It is heart breaking to see this happening to our country.

Another beautiful day here on Maundy Thursday, a day of reflection. Our Communities theme is Hope this year. Yesterday, we explored a National Reserve by a lake just outside of town. Not a long trail, then we headed across the 101 to see a small roadside state park that is a marsh full of cobra plants. It looked like a planet in a 1950 SciFi movie. My stomach calmed down so I didn't go to the clinic but will head right over with the next flair up. Shopping, study and some yard time today.
