    GM~

Low key Easter celebration. DBIL/DSIL left early, so DW and I just made a small ham steak at home and enjoyed a leisurely afternoon.

Another round of interviews this morning and another with a University this afternoon.

    Cheers,

    Good morning.

My back kept me on the couch all weekend when I wasn't at the synagogue. Only real adventure was a trip to the Indian restaurant last night to properly reset my digestive system after Passover ended.

Is this the interview where you're giving a presentation, Skip?

    Morning gang

    Rock the interviews Skip

Low key plans today. I need to break a 20 somewhere...I'm complete out of small stuff. Tried 3 places yesterday and no luck. I have 1 $10 and 3 nickles. I miss tap to pay…managing cash is a PITA. Most small vendors won't take anything bigger than a $5.

    • Good morning BBB Friends.
    • It's impressive you can actually buy something for $5.
    • Low key Easter here too after church. I did get to watch the Braves win which is a rare event this year.
    • Good luck with the interviews Skip. I've always seen you as a semi-retired professor. Of course, with that vehicle addiction of yours you may need more income.
    • How did the lake set up go Mary?

Ecuador is very inexpensive. As long as you dont want imported items.

If we go to the main market I can get 3 peppers, a bag of red and white onion, a bunch of bananas, 4 potatoes lettuce and cabbage for $5. There is a lady along the main street that has a wheelbarrow full of fruit daily. Today we got a pint of strawberries for $1. Eggs are pretty pricy 3/$1 if from a lady a tiny bit less at the supermarket.

Most coffee shops have a cup of Joe for $1 or $1.50. A latte is $2.50. A cookie or roll at the bakery is $.25. At the health food store today I bought 2 packs of oats, baking powder and cumin. It was $6. She gave me $2 worth of nickles...even she doesn't like to make change but we are regulars so she did.

But peanut butter is $20 ( I won't make that mistake again) a big jar of pickles is $22.

California is going to be a culture shock.

Hi BBB we just left lake for home.

Other than too much rain, lake setup went fine. We did not put boat in water. Too chilly so why bother.

Had a free ham and turkey Easter dinner to go from the local bakery. She was collecting for the woman's shelter in the larger town nearby so we donated to that cause.

Good luck with finding a new job Skip. When is your last day or are you done now?

Eggs around here 4.99 a doz. Gas 2.99/gal.

Have a good rest of the day BBB
