How do you measure your progress?

I'm faurotann. I'm 73 year old female. I really, really need an accountability group for walking. I've lost almost 30 pounds. I'm within sight of my weight loss goal. But I'm NOT succeeding at fitness. How do you create accountability with walking. Please give me an example of how you post your goals and achievements. I'm used to measuring progress by setting weight loss goals and checking in once a week to post my weight.

good morning, welcome! I keep track of my steps through my Apple Watch. But you can use a lesser cost device that you can wear I. Your wrist or even clip on your shoe. Prices typically run anywhere from like $10 up to as high as $400+. It all depends on how you want to track it, love.

We can start with a weekly goal. So for you. How much walking are you wanting to do weekly? You even start daily? What do you do now?

I have a fitbit which you can set up to give you a pulse 15 minutes before the end of every hour (you set the range of hours) to remind you to walk 250 steps. I went from 250 steps to 1-2K steps. So that reminder helps me. I can't always do it - sometimes I'm doing chores or running errands, and an hour or two etc., gets missed. But it's a cheap way to remind me to move.
