    Good morning!

    We had strong storms last night. We are expecting strong and dangerous storms tonight. Spring time in Kansas a/k/a tornado alley. Since I have lived here my entire life, I am used to it. We keep an eye on it, but don't otherwise worry about it.

    Today would be my 65th birthday. I'm not sure what is planned for today, but it is not working on projects.

    I think someone tried to use my debit card again, and now it is shut off. I'll probably fix that today so I can have money flow out of my account at high speed again.

    Bill, I'm sorry your festival was a bust. We have a local festival in our town. The effort is nice, but the way they approach it is not our style. There are plenty of festivals around other local towns that are much better. We can attend those if we choose to.

    Brushing off my German. Good morning.

    Cold/flu/whatever virus seems to be letting go of my head and chest finally. Yesterday seemed miserable. I was hoping to go camping in VT next weekend ; not sure if that’s going to happen.

    Lee, too bad about the dogs; the judges probably need more experience recognizing true greatness.

    Will make a sausage stew recipe whose ingredients are waiting in my fridge.

    Off to slogging through another day, hopefully more productive than the past week and a half.

    Onward and upward.

    Happy Birthday Steve. Congratulations on coming of age. If the weather were a bit more friendly I would say this is definitely the day for you to get your kayak wet.

    We enjoyed the parade yesterday. There was a wonderful community vibe to it. Somewhere along the way I did something to my left hip and developed a bit of a hitch in my get along which made walking unpleasant. Rested much of the rest of the day as much as possible and did the tri tip in the oven to limit my movement. A couple spasms in the night but much better today. I should be able to work on it today. Today I will finish researching so I can turn in my ballot tomorrow, election day. It is all local school and county stuff. Some rain due today so walking will be a matter of catching a break.

    HAPPY B-DAY STEVE!! Hope your hip gets better pronto!!

    I rode in the rain this a.m. with rain jacket on etc. the belt drive bike doesn't get messed up like bikes w chain drive and has fenders. Luckily pretty ligght rain.

    Off to get my not so fake ID today. What a waste of time and money. Oh well.
