Another chilly 40º morning, but rain stopped. Poured all day yesterday and into the night.

Bob, cool story about the log cabin where you lived while in grad school and the free firewood slabs floating on the pond.

DGD graduation this morning. It's at 10:15 but have to park in the city and walk to the arena. Parking garage prices are high these days, so I like to find a place on the street half mile away.

Time to get going and make me coffee….

    Good morning!

It was a chilly 44 degree wakeup here in KC. We are having April weather again for some reason. We are expecting rain all weekend. It will be a washout for many.

I did a bunch of yard work yesterday, including cutting on some wind felled branches with my chainsaw. I am feeling very stiff and sore today, so it will be lighter tasks. I plan to get groceries in the house this morning.

Bill, I'm praying that you receive relief soon on your hips/back.

Lee, it was great hearing that you were able to walk so far with the pups.

Today is Collin's 32nd birthday. He is supposed to work. He is not liking his job of a whopping six months, and is doing everything he can to get fired. I'm wondering if he is going to "call in" again today and end up losing this job. It is so frustrating. He just seems to have an aversion to working. It is very sad. Connie and I are convinced that he will be living with us for the duration. He seems to have no real desire to find a life partner. I wish we had answers and better support for him.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.
Got through another day with multiple bank visits. At least one more to go. Have an appointment Tuesday to talk to a financial manager. Not my favorite way to spend my time.
Today I will cut stuff up. Have the frame from my rejected recliner back to demolish also want to cut up a large cherry log that has been sitting in the weather for 18 months, to see if it’s worth salvaging.

    Good Morning

I enjoyed Bob's Grad School Log Cabin story.

Sounds like Colin has discovered work is called work for a reason.

Rested yesterday after we got home from the medical stuff to calm the hip down which it did. So I will take the steroids and try to keep off the leg as much as is reasonable and see. Xrays where negative with usual commentary on the high levels of arthritis. This afternoon we are off to see Mission Impossible which opens here today. Heather loves these movies. I am not a fan of Tommy Boy, I will try to get some things done around the house as well within limits. I have decided we may need to hire someone to come in and remove our lawn, lay the wood chips over it etc. There is a lot of garden work to be done too. We will try to do the weeding though once my hip is smiling again
