Overcast today, but no rain.
Got a call from another client for an end of life visit. I will be performing the deed tomorrow morning. Waiting to hear from 2 other clients with dogs with terminal issues. It is such a deeply personal event and often traumatic. Some deal with it better than others.
((sigh))

Good morning!
Rainy weekend here in Kansas. No flooding here, but we are looking forward to warm sunshine again. After Tuesday, we should be most dry for a bit with highs in the 80s.
Lee, there are aspects of your job that I imagine are very hard. Prayers for your peace, my friend.
Our vet said that we need $140 worth of liver meds for our geriatric dog. Online, those meds are $40. Frankie has had "elevated" liver enzymes since we have had her. I need to write a note to my friend Dr. Lee.
My weight is still going up. I'm increasing exercise, but I'm not logging food. Samsung has a really nice app on my phone that is free. I'm starting to use that. I'll be recording food starting today.
Have a great day!

Good morning gentlemen.
We still get a bit misty eyed when we think about the demise of our first dog, Princess, and that was 16 years ago. But we are also still grateful for the gentle, caring attitude of the vet we had. I am sure you make a tough choice easier for both patient and owners, Lee.
I have a mouth guard, Lee. I forget to put it in more nights than not. Need to do better.
Church this morning, then puttering around the shop and yard.0 -
Good Morning
Lee, I imagine part of what has made you an awesome Vet is that these matters are never routine. You care and concern about pet and owner is what sets you apart.
We had a wonderful trip to Eugene. A glorious sunny blue sky day. It was hard to keep my eye on the road driving over and back. Mid 70's in Eugene. We got are errands done enjoyed a nice salad for lunch and headed home. Mid 60's in Florence. We seem to have adjusted to our new climate, we were feeling warm in Eugene. Hip is starting to improve. We stopped at a wilderness viewing area and with cane in hand went for an easy walk without much trouble, just about mile. The scents in the air from the blooms and the warmth were incredible. Its also a hunting access path. We picked up several soaker hoses at a Memorial Day sale to lay in our various beds and make watering a lot easier. They go down today with Heather's help. If all goes well, I may try walking on the beach with my cane. 70's today…how can you not walk on the coast?
Question: I know some of you are avid Smoker/Grill men. I saw a Traeger grill set up for "sale" at $4,000. That seems a bit insane. No smoker either. ????

Steve, did you already purchase the meds? If you can, shoot me the labs and the treatment plan.

Well no rain here in PDX yesterday but we did hit 80degrees. Glad your hip is coming around Bill .
WOW my little Traeger was only a few hundred bucks, Then again I don't feed an army!!
My dentist would like the mouth guard thing too for me but so far not happening.
Oh no Lee so sad when ones companion leaves this world. My Cat at the time comforted me a lot when I broke my back and had a four vertebrae fusion (T4-T7). He lasted until I got better and went to Kitty Heaven. My dogs kept me warm in a log cabin in Grad School too.
We have more warm days in our future Lo 70s today around 69-70 tomorrow then 70s or higher the next 7 days with probably 3 days in the 80s or possibly one day at 90deg in Portland.
Get better all!
