    Good morning!

Rain expected on and off all day today. We are even in a flood watch today, expecting 2+ inches of rain. Today will be a day to work on inside projects.

I'm still trying to find the right balance between trying to catch up on all of these things that I couldn't get to when I was working, vs. simply enjoying not working. I did a lot of things yesterday, and it makes me feel good when I get stuff done, but there has not been a lot of just watching the clouds float by either. I'd be curious to know how you guys find that right balance.

My knees are doing better, but are always on the verge of hurting again, it seems.

    Have a great day!

Bible study this morning. Need to cultivate the virtue of fortitude by saying "no thank you" when old ladies say "I baked these blueberry muffins last night". Cardiologist visit went well except he's concerned about symptoms I mentioned, and is scheduling a heart stress test with EKG and radiation scan. The echocardiogram I had last winter showed some narrowing of valves and aorta but "nothing serious to be concerned about". Onward and onward…

Bill, glad your hip is okay. No more break dancing! Steve, enjoy the bike. Lee, hope you and the dogs are doing okay in bachelor mode there.

Sam, glad to hear you and DW are getting out in the convertible. Had one in the 60's, a gas guzzling beast that I bought for $50 from the kid down the street. Fell apart after a couple of years, but made me popular.

    Have a good day.

    Good Morning,

    Another sunny HOT day,

Could not get DW out, but today she has to go to doctor, says she is not going to hospital no matter what doctor says. Has a bad looking incision with lots of drainage.

    Mornin' gents.

Praying for Joanne to graciously give in and get to the Dr to get checked out.

Freshly baked blueberry muffins. Yum. Hard to resist for sure.

Icing my knee after doing some PT this morning. Take care of of those knees, Steve.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Good morning gentlemen.

My day was a near zero, yesterday. The account manager who handled the estate breakup in Salem had not granted access to the new guy in Olympia, so nothing got done on that front. Then I realized that I made a typo on the address for the shipped parts for my Tacoma, so I had to spend an hour trying to speak to the shipper in Texas so they could make a change for FedEx. Just a day full of failures and hassles. Maybe today will be better.

Steve, for me the balance comes from finding a few things I am passionate about and devoting time to them. The other stuff falls into the space that's left.

    Good Morning

I have some empathy for Joanne. She's still fighting her battle and you just get sick of going to the Dr all the time without much to show for it. I still have to push myself to go in like to the Cardiologist, if I had one. But a nasty looking incision is nothing to ignore. I just said a prayer.

I just got off the phone with regarding my Mom's estate. They sent us all the wrong forms, wrong links etc. In the end I made a phone appt with the woman. I have an old Fidelity account from my working days with a $0.01 account balance and what is left of my HSA. So we did all on the phone and with docusign. I need to see the investment details so I can look at the tax impact and then possibly talk with my Tax accountant. We plan to reallocate with our boys. I didn't go outside yesterday. It appears I don't like the really windy days. But the winds are easing today. I got to PT for a better late than never appointment for my hip injury. It will likely be a one an done but I would like their input on how I might have injured it exercising and how to move forward slowly and safely into exercise.
