Good luck with those dastardly ticks, Steve.

DGS's party was nice yesterday. DS did burgers on the grill, and salads and veggies; I got to know the other grandparents a little better, who are interesting people. The grandfather is a mountain biker close to my age (!) and talked about all the local trails his club has been banned from. I gave DGS a "Jacob's Ladder" toy—old fashioned wooden toy; he loves it and was showing everybody tricks he can do.

Chilly this morning here, cloudy 55º and breezy. Up and down weather so far this spring.

Might start filing down the piano hammers today; the rest of the project is waiting for stuff I ordered. The felt hammers are supposed to come to a rounded point, like an egg, so the notes are sweet and clear; years of playing wears grooves in the felt and instead of pinging the strings the flattened hammers smack the strings, sounding harsh. Reshaping with sandpaper paddles gets back the nice tone.

Looks like rain coming, so I will get out for a hike before that happens.

    Have a good day.

    Good morning!

Mike, that is just fascinating what you are doing with pianos. Your grandfather would be proud.

Bill, you are quickly becoming an Oregonian. It is fun to watch. I am so glad that you are feeling better.

I will finally get to mow today, and then tomorrow will be treating for ticks.

I rode my bike 10 miles yesterday. It felt good. I am still gaining weight, so I want to get back on top of that. I am feeling better with slowly increasing exercise. I have a Samsung phone. I am using the Samsung app. It is a nice app.

I have decided to get my 2019 Honda Civic fixed. The steering is going out on it. It will be $4500 to repair. We have decided it is worth it as the car has 74K miles on it, and I am hoping to keep it a long while yet. I am going to talk to them about financing today, and set an appointment. We have the $$ in savings, but if I can get low to no interest payments, that is what I'd rather do.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning gentlemen.

A new school week starts today - their last. Have to get them up and out the door to drive them across town to their school. They'll take the bus home to their house, where we will meet them, so they can do chores and practice their piano playing. Hot dogs and corn on the cob being grilled for supper.

    Good Morning

Another beautiful day here. We went for a beach walk in between Duclimerfest concerts. It was clear blue skies at the house. When we got a mile or so from the beach low clouds took over and along the shoreline was a thick fog. Very strange. It was also the first day the winds finally died down. I have avoided walking on sand due to my hip. Yesterday proved me right, I didn't last long with short part with soft sand. I rested on a log till it calmed down and carefully worked my way back to the car and waited for Heather. My exercises didn't go well either. But today I am back to feeling great, so lesson learned and I will walk the neighborhood. Today, I am making pizza dough for calzones, will practice music, do some watering and pack a bag so we can hit the road Tuesday afternoon after PT. I spent most of the weekend in the house with the Festival so it will be good to get out be about.
