    Good morning!

Prayers for Joanne. I pray that she can get her oxygen settled. Also prayers for Sam the caregiver.

Prayers also for Bill and pain management in the hips.

I might have over done it a bit myself yesterday. I do plan on treating for ticks today so it will be another busy day. First walking the yard spreading the treatment, then it has to be watered in, which with an acre involves 100s of feet of hose. I find it weird that they want me to water it in with a hose, but don't let it rain because it will wash away treatment. Sigh….

Dave, it sounds busy with the grandkids, but it also sounds like you are really enjoying having them for several days.

    Have a great day!

Hiked a 2 mile loop yesterday, mostly trails and then some dirt roads. Only wildlife was mosquitoes, lots of them. DEET seemed to chase them away pretty much, thankfully. Went first thing after coffee and toast, so a good strategy to get my butt out the door.

Ended up working on lubing hammer "centerpins" (hinges they swing on) which were a bit tight. Took all afternoon doing 30 of them—you have to disassemble the mechanism to access the pins, measure the torque with a gram gauge, put drops of "Fomblin" on the bushings, swing the hammer 20 times, measure again, and then reassemble. Still have 58 more to go. (Fomblin is a fishing reel lubricant that dissolves the verdigris corrosion that old Steinway actions sometimes have… "Steinway-itis" they call it.)

Foggy drizzle this morning. Bible study; or maybe should I skip these for awhile till I get the avoiding-donuts-thing down pat? Hmmm.

Bill, that's interesting that you were doing okay till walking on sand. Steve, pricey auto repair, but I guess they all are. Sam, hope the DW is feeling better. She's been through the mill—both of you actually. My prayers are with you…

    Time for me coffee.

Egad, just realized my car's going into the garage today…

    Good morning gentlemen.

DGD has her grade school graduation this morning, so we all will be heading to school. Tonight, they have piano lessons.

It was 95 on the deck while I was grilling last night. Should be a little cooler today.

    Good Morning

I agree. Joanne & Sam have been thru the wringer. I pray one of these Docs will be able to improve her breathing at least.

Heather & & I are taking off for a couple days for our Anniversary Thursday, #43. I took it easy putting around the house yesterday to hopefully settle it down more. Sitting at the clinic to get them to do a Meloxicam prescription. I am finishing up my Calif prescription and need it done here going forward. Then getting the car washed and something else if I can remember. PT at 1:45 and then we grab a hot beverage and head out to Newburg to explore for a couple days. All part of the retire to Oregon plan. Gas I need to gas up the car. I love how my memory “works” in this season of life.
