Morning…
55º this morning and cloudy, might rain later. DD is having brunch for me this morning and elder DD invited me over for meatballs tonight.
Happy Fathers Day to any and all fathers here. When my kids complained about my decisions I would tell them, it's not easy being the smartest person in the house.
Prayers for Joanne, healing.

Good morning! Happy Father's Day!
I plan on not doing much today. I've been busy the last several days, including mowing the yard(s) yesterday. I am mowing the widow lady's yard behind us, so I mow about 1.5 acres each time. It was hot and humid.
This morning, I am headed out soon for what I hope is a 12.4 mile (20km) bike ride. There is rain in the area, so we'll see how this goes.
Prayers for Joanne.
Have a great day!

Good morning gentlemen.
So sorry to hear of Joanne's difficulties. Prayers for swift healing.
Happy Fathers' Day to all my fellow dads. My plans for Father's Day is to watch golf all afternoon, after church. Maybe grill a burger for supper.

Happy Father's Day
Cloudy day with off and on rain,
Did not make church this morning; but got Pablo walked. breakfast made and kitchen cleaned up, clothes washed, DW dressed and me bathed, and trash hauled off.
Hoping for a restful afternoon with no events. Tomorrow will be a long day.
Have no idea what I'm fixing for lunch or supper.

Good Morning
I continue to pray for Joanne & Sam.
Happy Father's Day to all. My son has organized a day trip down to Coos Bay to a coastal park for a picnic and some hiking. He originally wanted to do a beach but changed when I told him I am supposed to stay off the sand for a while. I think we visited this park a few years ago when we first started exploring the coast and possible landing spots. I remember us being amazed at the sound of the high winds in the pines. We might get a repeat performance today.

Happy Father's Day!
I shouldn't tell this story, it is not something I want to admit, but it is kind of funny. Humor trumps ego, right? So, I put the boat in the water this am, tied her to the dock, started the engine and left it running. I took the truck and trailer to a parking spot, then back to the boat, still tied to the dock. I hop in the boat, cast off from the dock and put the engine in reverse to back out. The boat didn't move. Slipped it back into neutral, and then back into reverse. No movement. I shut the engine off, hit the trim button to lift the lower unit out of the water to see what is wrong, and all I see is the bare shaft that the prop was supposed to be attached to. Evidently I put it on incorrectly, and now it is at the bottom of the boat ramp. I had been really proud of myself putting that darn prop on, because it didn't fit right from the beginning. I thought I had just mixed up the spacers initially and finally got it on and thought it was secure. Guess not.
So I haul the boat out of the water, make the 10 minute ride back to our house, put on the old prop I had replaced, and then went back to the lake and got in a couple of hours fishing. Got skunked, but really enjoyed scooting around from spot to spot. Saying "happy father's day" to all the dads out with their kids.
Flank steak tonight. Reverse sear. Cabbage and onion sautee.

That's a funny story, Lee. Made my day… Maybe scuba diving lessons are in order now…?
