    bad storms last night. Still no power at our house. Pretty annoying. Trees down everywhere.

    Headed out to my sisters lake house tonight to make them the weekly dinner while my bil is rehabbing.

    HOT here too. I love the H E double hockey sticks. Ha ha ha. And we obviously have no AC. errrr

    Heat index will be 100 at the lake this weekend. Hope to get the paddle board and blow up floating tubes in the lake this time. Its my sibs gtg weekend...

    Good Afternoon,

    Started day with my Emmaus group, helped Joanne with shower, packing wound and dressing then took Pablo for his walk. Fixed breakfast and cleaned kitchen. Clothes washed. Then physical torture.

    Fixed lunch and cleaned up.

    DGS who went in Navy June 4th is still in hospital with rhabdomyolysis, seems on 17th 10 were sent to hospital they still have 4. DS and DGD drove up there last night. When numbers get down DGS will be returned to base.

    87 here with rain expected this afternoon. Then 90's for next week with no rain.

    Hi all

    We had no power this morning either. Not sure why. Homeowners got on the road earlier than expected since the trailer didn't have shore power they decided to just get going.

    We are in charge of 3 dozen or so pigeons, 2 wild ravens, and a mess of hummingbirds. Plus keeping the mice out of the cars and shop. We have an amazing view and are in the country-ish but near to a middle sized town and about an hour from Bakersfield.

    Mostly unpacked and settled in, including several loads of laundry. They took the 2 dogs with them so still need to get rid of some of the dog hair. Still need to wash the car and assemble the bicycles. Our friends are arriving to visit on Saturday.

    This Is Dixie. She lost her eyes after an encounter with a squirrel 2 years ago. She gets around amazingly all over the ranch. She is adorable.
