    Great, DS#1 is getting deployed to Middle East in September. Known this for a couple of months, but now we are a bit more concerned.

    Stayed up late watching the address to the nation and the analysis. Its LONG overdue! Praying our soldiers, sailors, airman, and marines do not get pulled into a long campaign! For everyone here - keep your head on a swivel. I fear cells and nodes are already plotting nefarious acts here on our homeland. I could be paranoid, but I read too much

    not to think its valid.

    99 is the heat forecast today. Thinking I might grab six friends and hit the pool.

    Good morning.

    Something I learned about government long ago is that if something is seen as important enough to build three layers of redundancies, then there's also a fourth and probably a fifth. I wouldn't be taking measurements for a Mission Accomplished banner just yet.

    If I invite more than two friends I get a gout-ish reminder in my toe not to do that again, so I don't bother inviting them over at all these days, Skip.

    Church this morning, then mowing the lawn and running errands.

    I always worry about those who place their lives on the line - especially when the decisions are made in haste or for frivolous reasons by those who have never risked anything.

    Our friends arrived yesterday. They are here 2 weeks but might take the weekend to drive to the coast.

    • I too stayed up late watching the President's address.
    • Already hot here. I'm not inviting any 'friends' over but plan on watching the Braves try to win the series in Miami.

    No it sure wasnt Dennis. My old boss CEO fled @ 18yo to attend college here in 1979. He always said he was lucky to get out. His father could not.

    My sibs lake weekend visit was good. Hot tho whew. Got some boating n floating in.
