    Up early to go fishing.

US bombs Iran. This makes DS#1's up coming deployment to that region a bit more concerning.

Missed posting yesterday. My Saturday to work. It was a bit worky, but not spackling or mudding the bathroom worky.

    Onward and downward ;-)

    Mornin'

Did an early hike yesterday while it was cool, about 2 miles with hills. Very pleasant. Afternoon got blazing hot, and soccer field where DGD played was brutal. No trees, astroturf seemingly made hotter. They tied both games. Afterward we went to DD house nearby and spent the evening having pizza and salad in the yard. DSIL made a campfire, and the kids played. They had planned a campout in the backyard, and as it got dark they all got nervous about "sleeping so far from the house" (about 50 yards.) I think they all bailed out and camped in the livingroom after I left. Hysterical.

Prayers for Lee's son and those involved in the seemingly ever growing wars…

Another hot day ahead, and tomorrow may reach 100.

    Onward and downward…

    Good morning!

I finally have the mudding approved by the supervisor in charge. Today, on rest day Sunday, I will be doing a final light sanding, a splash of Killz on the mudded areas, and then a second coat of paint on the walls. She is anxious to get this part finished on the bathroom that she does not use. Then I can pace myself again on the rest of it, and moving on to the hallway. This will be an ongoing adventure for at least a couple of weeks as I still have the hallway and 4 doors to do.

My heart is heavy from the bombing in Iran.

More heat and humidity expected for the next several days.

    Good morning gentlemen.

    Hope they're biting. Lee.

Our first house had garish wallpaper and shag carpeting in every room. I stripped the walls and painted everything in my weekends. Took me a long time. I finished about six months before we were transferred to Alaska and sold the house. That's the last time I did any large-scale indoor painting. Thankfully, Rita isn't a redecorator.

Church this morning, then I need to mow the lawn and run some errands before our camping adventure this week.

    Good Morning

A time to pray for sure. It is hard to see an easy path out of the mess that ends well.

Dave, that is some story. For some reason yesterday I was really tired. I assume it is a combination of ramping up the exercise and being a couple days into trasitioning back to Keto. An exciting day of finishing laundry, cleaning etc. If all goes well I will try a walk sore or not.

Well gents, it was slow at first, but the bite picked up and we caught a very large pike, several small yellow perch, a couple of good size blue gills, and medium sized small mouth bass. I would post a photo, but somehow, the photo upload won't work for me from my phone anymore (if anyone has a solution, I would love to hear it, I have checked all permissions). The young lady who joined me this morning is a veterinary assistant at my clinic. She has great energy and works hard and loves to fish, so I basically guided her this morning and she caught the big pike and the small mouth bass. Very excited for her.

Hit 88 degrees this afternoon. Lots of ice water and sitting in front of a fan. Should have just made cucumber and red onion salad and egg salad to eat on, but smoked up some cheese stuffed jumbo jalapenos and boneless skinless chicken thighs and a crustless quiche to eat on during the week. Needless to say, I was sweating up a storm while prepping.

Went grocery shopping this afternoon to beat the heat and was so tempted with bakery goods, but I defied the temptation.

Sam: I too am soooo glad DGS is out of the hospital from rhabdomyolysis. Not fun. Like
Dave it was chilly and rainy all day yesterday. Today is much better.

Our pastor had a "rest" sermon today. Take a deep breath with all that goes on from our health to situations around us and the world.

Yes Lee I pray for all including your DS who may be caught up in the conflict. Our grandson is in Dubai teaching which may not be the safest place but ok for now.

Wow smoked cheese stuffed jalapenos sounds great!!
